Guest Ace309 Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 "Cheng" isn't exactly the most Japanese name in the world.
Placebo Effect Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 <~~~~~~~ Going to give them the police a call. Edit: On the phone with them right now....
Placebo Effect Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 They've not received a phone call. I'm calling
Guest Eagan469 Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 it's safe to say this is bullshit Google News has nothing how about we all submit fake news stories to wrestlingdotcom in revenge and see how many get posted
Guest Dangerous A Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Someone tried to start a thread about it on wrestlingclassics and after about 1/2 hour, it was deleted. Don't know what that's worth to you.
Guest Dangerous A Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Just went there. It's been taken down now. As far as I know, Leon is ok.
Cherry Blossom Viscount Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Ok guys. False alarm. Useless bandhopping posts that may or may not contain a personal story of how he changed your life can be stored on the hard drive for a later date. Banner makes, put those graphic files away.
Guest Downhome Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 No one here should post news unless they know for a FACT that it's true and comes from a good source. Especially about a death.
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 isn't cheng an chinese name? That's what I meant before. The person who wrote this probably thinks Japanese and Chinese people are one and the same. Investigative Inspector also sounds a tad redundant. Ah well, it's fake nothing to see here....
Guest Retro Rob Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 No one here should post news unless they know for a FACT that it's true and comes from a good source. Especially about a death. Well he did say to wait until a better source reported it...
Guest acnx Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 No one here should post news unless they know for a FACT that it's true and comes from a good source. Especially about a death. Well he did say to wait until a better source reported it... Yeah I think it's alright he posted it, it had a warning on it.
Guest Downhome Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 No one here should post news unless they know for a FACT that it's true and comes from a good source. Especially about a death. Well he did say to wait until a better source reported it... He still posted it. I'm not pissed or anything, but by posting it here on the forum before a credible site reports on it is simply spreading the rumor, a HORRIBLE rumor. I'm not bitching, I just think that something like this should be saved untill you see it on the actual news, or from one of the major Pro. Wrestling sources.
Guest Downhome Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 I just hate when rumors are started, and then people contribute to spreading it, like I said, especially when it has to do with someone passing away.
Guest Downhome Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Well since he's ok, let's all share our favorite Vader moment, heh.
Guest Choken One Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 The scary thing is...Some one will legit die a couple days and we won't buy it.
Guest Downhome Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 The scary thing is...Some one will legit die a couple days and we won't buy it. Well there are certain sources where the information comes from when just about 100% of the time it is true. If Torch, WO, or 1wrestling (and a few others) reports on a death, you can take it to the bank. Have they ever had an error when it came to something that extreme?
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 This is probably some pissant 3rd rate site looking for some hits...I hope so anyway
PsychoDriver Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Good to hear.... I hate when BS like that spreads. I'll never go to WrestlingDOTCOM.com (as if anyone ever did)
Guest Ace309 Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 The scary thing is...Some one will legit die a couple days and we won't buy it. I'll believe it when it's a credibly-written article posted by a reputable source.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Looks like they've pulled the story...unless I'm just not seeing it
Guest Phr33k Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Usually, I go there for my news, because it just basically reposts stuff from the credible ones without the irritating pop-ups. However, after this, I think I'll go elsewhere. If the admins can't at least check the stuff before it gets on the newswire... nah.
Guest claydude14 Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 BUT GUYS! THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR DIED AGAIN TODAY~!
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 *All the mods shudder in fear that Downhome's displeasure will lead to his 1,000,000 reported post*
Guest bob_barron Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 People actually USE the Report this post thing?
Guest Steve J. Rogers Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 The scary thing is...Some one will legit die a couple days and we won't buy it. I'll believe it when it's a credibly-written article posted by a reputable source. Not just that, but if its universally being reported. If one site has it and then hours go by and no one else picked it up, then you start questioning the validity of the story Steve
Guest Anglesault Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 *All the mods shudder in fear that Downhome's displeasure will lead to his 1,000,000 reported post* LOL. I forgot that that feature was even available. Can Vader sue over this? Besides claiming he was dead, he was portrayed as a junkie, alcoholic and steroid abuser.
