Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted July 17, 2003 Austin HBK Hart Benoit Vader In no discernable order. Amazing...How did a hoss get on that list? I have them Austin, Hart, Vader, Benoit & Shawn, in that order.
Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted July 17, 2003 I'd take Shawn off and put Eddie on instead.
Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted July 17, 2003 I'd take Shawn off and put Eddie on instead. I wouldn't. Shawn was better with worse opposition. Hell, he carried Big Lazy AND Sid to **** matches in the same year.
Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted July 17, 2003 You seriously think that Sid match was a **** match? God, Michaels is the most overrated wrestler ever. Eddie's best work smokes Shawn's, IMO.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted July 17, 2003 I'd take Shawn off and put Eddie on instead. I never was all that impressed with Eddy until 1997 or so, and he had several problems with injuries and drugs in the late 90s that gave him problems. Talent-wise, he is better than Michaels, but he didn't perform as well overall. My number 6 is Flair.
Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted July 17, 2003 Eddie was having better matches in 1994 than Michaels ever had.
Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted July 17, 2003 You seriously think that Sid match was a **** match? God, Michaels is the most overrated wrestler ever. What would you give it? I saw it live, and again a month later, and I was amazed by it. Eddie's best work smokes Shawn's, IMO. Not in the 90s. And look who Eddy had to work with! Jeez, if you can't look good wrestling with Benoit, Jericho and the WCW cruisers, you're not trying. Shawn looked like Flair carrying all the stiffs he had to work with, especially as WWF champ. Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted July 17, 2003 Eddie/Rey, HH 97 Los Gringos Locos vs. Santo/Octagon, When Worlds Collide Eddie/Sasuke vs. Benoit/Ohtani, Junior tag League Final smoked anything HBK has done. EVER. Regardless of who they were working with, Eddie still had better matches than Michaels, and did it without all the gimmicks and shortcuts.
Guest HellSpawn Report post Posted July 17, 2003 Exactly. The Smarks hate McMahon and, by default any and all Hosses. I like A-Train & Bill DeMott. Even Big Show is okay. It is only bad hosses (Billy Gunn, Test, etc.) that I hate. ...And what I hate most about the "anti-smark" is that they claim we hate all big men. I like watching Vader. And he showed that just because someone is big, they don't have to plod and suck. So I hate the plodders and the suckers who try to get by on size. I see the problem in... All those post were someone say "Oh WE Hate X, WE hate Z, WE hate B" like if all the Smarks think the same thing always. There are some people here who like Bradshaw, Big Show, Test, etc. So, how could Peter Smark like TBS if WE hate Hosses. Another one is, if you read th ewhole thread, X guy explain why the Smarks hate hosses, but then Z guy comes and he thinks another reason that could be, at least in some way, against Z guy reasons. For example, Phsycology. Someone said Angle/Benoit didnt show Phsycology, another one said , yes they show Phsycology. So.. who is right ? Lets see another example... RVD. He is a Smarks Fan Fav, his Phsycology is so bad, at least, for me. But then, his moveset is good and in some way exciting, so, he can turn up *my* POV about him. But then several people hate Undertaker, "OMG, He is so boring, etc. etc." OK Yeah, but then, 2-1 years ago he change his moveset a little, he incorporate some submission moves, and what happen? "OMG, now he is a MMA athlete? hahahaha thats so funny". So, nothing is good for some people. Another guy here spoke about Storm. I like Storm, but like he said, for the life of god, I cant help him to be cheered in my house, some people just hate the guy, and well, he have a nice wrestling background and moveset, but.. what he lacks (sp?) is.. charisma. Oh well, lets move on. Peace.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted July 17, 2003 WE means the majority, whether you personally are a part of that group or not. WE like RVD, even though I can't stand him.
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted July 17, 2003 The 'We' stuff pisses me off as well. That's why all the higher ups in WWE basically think of internet fans as a joke. I have to say Michaels never grabbed me either. The Sid match is good, great for Sid, but Michaels was basically wrestling with his eyes closed on autopilot for most of his run. The guy was full of energy and a phenomenal athlete (bah gawd) but I can't pinpoint any standout sequences or really rate many of his performances individually. Whilst I haven't seen much of Eddy outside of WWE it's clear that he's got longevity over Shawn, anytime. And Big Show was never the worst thing ever, that's ridiculous. He has a limited moverset (er, he's an overweight giant) but he never looks lost out there and has charisma. He also deserves credit for taking bumps like he has, and he's willing to job to anybody (whilst his contract would probably let him say otherwise). I like him, and always will. Crimson Platypus 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2003 To me it's the little things that wrestlers do in a match that makes it watchable. A spot fest is only interesting the first few times you watch it. But if the wrestlers are playing to the crowd, arguing with the ref, cheating in a new way, stuff like that.. That's when I get into a match. That is also why right now Eddie is my favorite wrestler. Watch him in a tag match when he is on the outside. He works a match better from the outside of the ring than most wrestlers do inside.
Cherry Blossom Viscount 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2003 See, that's one of the good things about Show; it's so easy to build him back up that several jobs never really hurt him. It only took two weeks to get Show over as a main even heel after his jump to SD! They could have done this with Albert, but they never seem to pull the trigger on the guy. They should have let Heyman continue to manage him and have him and Show tear through the SD! roster before a babyface felled both the big men. Oh well. Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted July 17, 2003 Most smarks just prefer pure wrestling and psychology because it is a pro-wrestling show, not a Fighting Championship. Vince is too into "shock tv" and thinks that A-Train stiffing someone is more "believable" then Benoit and Eddy having a great technical *wrestling* match, on a pro-*wrestling* show.
