Guest wwF1587 Report post Posted July 22, 2003 personally i am loving this storyline... maybe its because we have had SOO much crap in recent months (hogan/mcmahon, mcmahon/gowen, nash/hhh) but glen is doing a fantastic job as a pyschotic unstoppable monster, tombstoning linda was just icing on the cake.. id assume kane is heel but the crowd popped mad when you was destroying people last nite... im hoping next week that either vince or shane show up and end up getting destroyed somehow....the only problem i have is that i still dont believe that this is going to last... i still believe that come unforgiven hes going to be the Im sorry forgiving nice funny Kane.... Kane should have the world title by Unforgiven (at latest) by that title belongs to HHH so it will never happen... if Kane wins the title, I may just give a crap about the belt
Guest MideonMark Report post Posted July 22, 2003 If this leads to Linda showing up on Raw next week wearing a neckbrace, then I'm all for it, cause the hilarity of that visual will be enormous. Also she'll have her outfit colour coordinated with the neckbrace, cause shes one classy broad. So much for the death of Glen Jacob's career as was predicted by 3/4 of this board when he was unmasked, the whole angle has come up Milhouse(Thats good by the way)
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted July 22, 2003 The problem is that there is no one for him to take on at SummerSlam. As well as the fact that there is absolutely no reason for him to still be a WWE employee (in storyline terms).

Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 22, 2003 Shane McMahon... The angle is *right* there... You take the most popular McMahon (the one who can cut a face promo) and let him bounce like A rubber ball and it's all good...
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2003 Well I'm just glad they've actually done the sensible thing and explained the lack of burns rather than wasting money on fake burn make-up/paint which wouldn't look right anyway. What should is Shane/Kane, but that'd most probably be too much of a squash. RVD/Kane may be the same. Austin/Kane won't happen. But what about Undertaker/Kane? What Taker doing for Summerslam at the moment? Nothing we know of. Have Taker show concern for events on Raw with Kane, have Kane go all pyscho until Taker is begged to do something about it. In the end, Kane would destroy Undertaker at Summerslam, and the push would continue. This'd probably screw up the whole seperate brands thing they're actually trying to push again, but it seems weird Undertaker doesn't seem the least bit concerned about his brother's actions, brand split or not. The Dames 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2003 I'm actually loving this new angle for Kane, despite thinking that they'd drop the ball with him. I think he needs the World Title and soon...so that they'd HAVE to build up a big babyface finally to take the title off of him. Dames

As well as the fact that there is absolutely no reason for him to still be a WWE employee (in storyline terms). The way I see it, he'll be suspended or fired next week, only to have Austin or someone (maybe Taker) demand that he be reinstated just so he gets the chance to kick his ass or something, leading to a non-sanctioned match at SummerSlam. Ultra Violence 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2003 I can see Jericho or RVD being built as the face to take the title off him. Face Jericho = Ratings
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted July 22, 2003 I could see a no holds barred match with RVD at SS. They didn't have a finish last night and the brawl that RVD and Kane put on was actually not that bad looking at all. The Shane idea is appealing too, but only if it's a one shot deal with Kane winning in the end. People need to get the Austin vs Kane idea out of their heads right now. Austin's neck is really fucked. Doctors told him he was insane for wrestling Rock at WM19. He doesn't need to wrestle Kane. He should just stay right where he is. For his own sake. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2003 I really don't see the point of all the time focused on Kane. Yeah, sure, he's a monster, but until he gets another world title shot, I still frown upon why Kane is all over RAW, but yet we get stuck with Goldberg/HHH. So you'd rather see MORE HHH/Goldberg? Okay, who are you, and what the hell did you do with Rico? From what I'm trying to say is WWE devotes all this time to Kane. He's obviously the angry monster that he originally was again therefore showing he's a credible threat to HHH's world title which SHOULD make him a legible threat (like how Big Show was when he went to SD). Kane was built very strong in his match with HHH at MGS and people like myself believed that Kane had a good chance of walking away as the champ because that's how caught fans were with that match. Now, that you take away his mask and he has to show people with "hideous" face, you just made the situation even worse with his character's feelings. He's SUPER pissed now! With Goldberg in the fray, Kane seems to be in limbo since by all means, he should be getting another title shot. So UNTIL he gets a world title shot, I guess we'll be watching Kane beating up more people for weeks to come
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted July 22, 2003 Austin should just drop it and go home. It's depressing me that probably my favourite wrestler of all time is participating in crap involving Mae Young and just cutting dull interviews all the time. You had a great, great run Steve, let's leave it at that. If they drop the ball this time, it's going to be all the more frustrating, because really, would any of you have expected any climb in ratings or interesting character development to come from KANE? That's why it's holding my interest.
Guest JMA Report post Posted July 22, 2003 I applaud whoever decided to write Kane being under house arrest. It was actually logical. I especially liked the leg bracelet tracking device. I think Kane should be given the month off to make it seem like he's suspended. Then he is brought back by Shane to fight RVD. We get a nice long build and a big payoff. Guest Insane Bump Machine Report post Posted July 22, 2003 I applaud whoever decided to write Kane being under house arrest. It was actually logical. Then explain it to me. There were no charges filed yet (which makes no sense, because his crime was on live TV for everyone to see), but he's still under house arrest. And why is he going psychological evaluation, everybody knows he's nuts. He burned a man on live TV! And why is he working while under arrest, when his work is the place where the crimes occured in the first place? And why is the police paid to follow him around everywhere, when there aren't even charges filed against him?

After all, this angle once again comes from our beloved WWE creative team. Kinda like how HBK fought Diesel at WM for the WWE Championship and lost and then following year it was THEN he had the "boyhood dream".
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 23, 2003 Don't you remember the story... After the Concussion he went back to Jose Lothoriro's School and remember what it was that made him want to be a wrestler...TO FULFILL HIS boyhood DREAM. It made plenty of sense because he was a heel at the time and "forgot" about his dream...Remember the WM11 pre-match interview he was going "I'm gonna put on a show because I am the best wrestler on god's green earth"...That fit with his Heel persona wanting to be the HIGHLIGHT. So he returns and with Soul searching he brings back his Boyhood dream and used that as his inspiration and motivation. Big Difference
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted July 23, 2003 Right now I see RVD/Kane at SS....and there is no choice but to put the "MONSTER" over. I just hope it isn't a squash. RVD has been somewhat protected in singles matches up to now, but if they want to get Kane over as a Monster he needs to go over clean. Remember back when Brock's HUGE win was over RVD at KOTR?(even though it wasn't clean). If Shane comes back, he better get squashed, but I probably wasted that thought, because that won't happen. I really hope this whole Kane thing doesn't involve McMahon after McMahon. I actually though the whole coming down to the ring in shackles look is pretty nice, but Kane is Kane, and when it comes to the actual match he is so limited it aint funny. I'm just worried that RAW is take a page out of Heyman's notes for building up the Big Show as a main eventer. Because if so, we know how it's going to end. Badly. Guest Nater Report post Posted July 23, 2003 Its already decided. Kane starts a program against the King. In the last match, they set it up for a Crown-Match. Winner takes the crown. Kane wins. Kane becomes King Kane Bundy. Kane proceeds to wrestle midgets and begin biting his opponents. Add 50lbs around his waist.
