TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2005 Our name's on the cup this year! Wouldn't it be funny if in three hours, we drew each other? Well, not funny exactly... Oh well. Derby County vs Watford/Fulham
Mystery Eskimo 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2005 I'm happy with Megson, although really, after I heard fucking David Pleat linked to the job, I would have been happy with anyone or anything else.

Anorak 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2005 I'm happy with Megson, although really, after I heard fucking David Pleat linked to the job, I would have been happy with anyone or anything else. Pleat? That must have been a joke. I wouldn't even wish that on Forest. Megson should keep you up.
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2005 Why should he? Those players are still a joke.

TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2005 Just to be different, I'll go with Newcastle. Boumsong couldn't seem to even handle the Yeading defence!
monkey 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2005 I go with Man U as I think Chelsea will be concentrating on bigger cpmpetitions (league and Champions league). Cant wait until the Champions league kicks off again soon as there seems to be some great potential matches. Roll on Ipswich into the Premier league, Coventry on Saturday and we need to win. rising up out of the back seat-nuh 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2005 I fancy Pompey for the semis of the FA Cup this year. Maybe even the finals and a place in Europe a la Milwall. Although Scum vs Scum in the next round? I don't know whether to laugh or cry...
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2005 Tell you what's quite funny.. that about five posters have made a thread go over 50 pages. What a classic thread...
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2005 WHAT AN IDEA FOR A THREAD! Come on Derby County! We can't let Leicester stay in the Premiership without us for too long. Seriously though, Derby are gonna struggle this year, the money just isn't there, and last season's final squad just didn't have it. I miss Malcolm Christie... I MISS THE OTHER DERBY FAN!! The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2005 Tell you what's quite funny.. that about five posters have made a thread go over 50 pages. What a classic thread... To be fair, we do have a huge advanage over the other sports threads, as football is actually a proper sport....
Mystery Eskimo 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2005 Looks like Reid's off to Spurs for £4.5 million. Not a bad price. Hopefully Megson will get a decent chunk to bring in players (no Baggies rejects please).

To be fair, we do have a huge advanage over the other sports threads, as football is actually a proper sport.... oooo This thread's had it all though, not just football. We had talk of football games, some kind of internet-turn-real-life-flirting of two people (well, those who read this thread would remember it), actual football, wrestling comparisons. Derby play on Sunday this week, noon kick off. I miss WJM
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2005 as stated earlier, with out two solid strikers, Chelsea is just going to be a middle team. If anything Newcastle could be a strong team in the premiership As I have a lonely long night ahead of me, I hope people don't mind me pulling amusing posts from the past up.. TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2005 Did Frank Lampard even touch the ball last night? I rate Lampard highly, but he's not Beckham, Scholes, Gerrard class, so he wont be a regular. I'd even go as far as to put Joe Cole in the team before him.
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2005 I heard Man U were going to buy Rooney for £40million...how insane would that be? Insane~!
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2005 They'll be in trouble if he's not there, they looked really poor at the end of last season. - On Wayne Rooney leaving Everton. I'll be back later to bore you all more.

TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2005 I feel so sorry for Wimbledon, if they had managed to keep players like Connolly,Shipperly,McAnuff,Reo-Coker and Kelvin Davis at the club then they would have been in the top 10 instead of being Relegated in about 2-3 games. The bloke who's just bought the club is an idiot, why buy them now when he could have done it in the summer and had a good young team that would challenge for the Play Offs. Well if we'd been able to keep players like Stern John, Jermaine Jenas, David Prutton, Andy Johnson, Alan Rogers, Chris Bart-Williams, Riccardo Scimeca, Ben Olsen etc etc then we'd be in the Premier League. I'm sure Franchise could say the same for the sheep. Talking of which i'm off to Gay Pride Park to watch the lads send the sheepshaggers down into oblivion or however it's spelt. YOU REDS! FUCKING yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what? 4-2? what?
