deancoles 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2005 Lost 1-0 at Huddersfield, down to 10 men and they get one in the last minute. So far we've scored 0, Miller,Lita,Heffernan,Thorpe,Roberts,Akinbiyi,Dani Rodrigues and Odejayi have all scored this season. Oldham and Wallsall are doing good so far, guessed Oldham might be up there but Wallsall's a shock.
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 Well, the striker we loaned from Southampton has gotten injured! We're cursed. At least we managed another point, our strike force is really the only huge problem. The midfield always seem to create the chances (ie Zinedine Whelan) but you can't rely on Lee Peacock to finish them off.

The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 Walsall skipper Chris Westwood said today referee Andy Woolmer was WRONG to award the decisive penalty to his side. Forest keeper Rune Pedersen was dismissed in the 58th minute after he was adjudged to have brought down Walsall striker Jorge Leitao. "If a penalty like that had been given against us, I would have been upset. I would not have been very happy," said Westwood. "The feeling on the pitch was that, whether the keeper had gone in feet first or head first, Jorge had already gone to ground. "It did not look like there was a lot of contact. Fucking bastard wanker referees...
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 Not that I'm over confident or anything, but... WE'RE ONLY GOING TO GO AND WIN THE LEAGUE! <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 We'll still win the league, it's just that now I reckon Wallsall will finish second Besides, we always lose to them. I'm not sure if this link will work, but can everyone look at the first 10 seconds of this and explain how the hell it's a penalty and a red card?
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2005 What the hell! That's terrible, Terrible refereeing. I cant believe this, but hard luck, champ.
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2005 It's a case of someone picking on the 'big team' Forest. I can't believe I said that. THREE MATCH BAN!?
The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2005 Amazingly the FA have actually came out on our side and accepted our appeal against it. Thing is though, the ref gets away with it! Anyone who can make a error like that shouldn't be officiating at any level, and this joker will be back on the pitch on Saturday carrying on like he didn't do anything. This idiot thought that what he saw was "serious foul play"!? Unbelieveable. I'm not saying we would've gone on to win the match or anthing had he not fucked up - we were already 2-1 down and playing really badly, but it would've fucking helped. Fucking League One - it's a complete joke.
The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2005 Another thing about this ref - K Woolmer - when Commons scored the opener it was infront of the Forest end, so he celebrated infront of them. He didn't jump in wit them or anything, just stood at next the goal celebrating in their direction. Woolmer then fucking books him and Ross Gardner! Then when they score there pen that Fryatt twat who scored it went to our fans and was taking the piss, and putting his hand to his ear and all that stuff, and the ref did nothing. And some poor bastards are going to have him take 'charge' or their game this weekend. And I thought the Championship was bad for refs....
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2005 I told you, you'll get picked on because you're a big club. It happened when we came down from the Premier, we had NO 50/50 decision ever go our way, especially at Pride Park.
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2005 Whether you win the league or not, you'll feel like you've been there forever. It's just that sort of division. We've got a striker! Guy called Graham (dunno his first name) from Wigan, and shock of shocks, he's Scottish! I'm worried that Sturrock will get offered the Scotland job actually. That would signal the end of our fabled comeback.
The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2005 Graham's record for Wigan was 1 goal in 32 appearances, so although he's not quite at Michael Bridges level I wouldn't get your hopes up too much... According to Megson, in our two games so far we've had 32 shots on goal. And scored 4. I'm beginning to think we may just need a new striker...

Anorak 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2005 Marlon King's just scored a cracker for Watford, who have the genius of Jordan Stewart at left-back. Ellington to WBA is funny timing but he had a release clause apparantly.
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2005 Shit, the last thing we need is Watford getting goals.
Anorak 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2005 Ipswich tomorrow. Not the best record against them in recent years but at least it's at home, we're awful at Portman Road.
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2005 Ok, this Graham guy's record isn't that fair a reflection, cos he barely ever started due to Roberts and Ellington, meaning he played on the wings a fair bit which he isn't used to. I still think we could get well and truly hammered tomorrow, a shame cos who wouldn't want Paul Sturrock to defeat Saints with the team he brought from league one? PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2005 Well, we outplayed Southampton for much of the game and then Richard Wood fell on his arse, 1-0. I thought we could have got hammered by them, so I'll at least say we don't seem to be conceding many, it's just the goalscorer that's the problem. Still, I saw Jon-Paul McGovern out last nite, and he said hi to us, so it wasn't all bad.

Angelus 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2005 The shit is hitting the fan so much with this Asian tour that, to be honest, I'm actually hoping we do sign Michael Owen. If you scan through the thread you'll probably re-find my opinion on him. But, right now, we need a boost. Keane's stormed off, Rio won't sign his contract, Ruud's arguing with Rio, Rooney's kicking some Asian kids around...I take it all back Michael. Come and save us! They don't need another striker, they need a leader ... If only they could have sign Michael Ballack this year it would be another story.

King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 ^ Totally. I liked it more when everyone hated us for being lucky bastards. Good to see Mourinho was a class act when the goal went in though. He's about the only saving grace for Chelsea, because they're as hated if not more than we are now...and, beating Wigan like that was bollock. But then Mourinho goes and admits Chelsea didn't deserve to win. Not sure what game he was watching when he said that they defended well in the second half though. They should have been at least 2 down in the last few minutes. The shit is hitting the fan so much with this Asian tour that, to be honest, I'm actually hoping we do sign Michael Owen. If you scan through the thread you'll probably re-find my opinion on him. But, right now, we need a boost. They don't need another striker, they need a leader ... If only they could have sign Michael Ballack this year it would be another story. Would have been nice. Apparantly, Fergie thinks Alan Smith can fill in Keane's role in centre midfield. Can't see it myself. The way Fergie's playing now, I think Andy Gray said it on Sunday, Owen wouldn't fit in properly. If we play Owen, we have to drop either Rooney or both Giggs and Ronaldo. Not going to happen. Guest Damn You Helmsley Report post Posted August 15, 2005 Good to see Newcastle lose yesterday. Guest kylegavin Report post Posted August 15, 2005 Fulham - Birmingham was every bit as boring as people would imagine when seeing that fixture on the fixture list. Julian Gray missed a sitter for us, but Fulham did hit the cross bar. All in all a good old fashioned scoreless bore draw. Jiri Jarosik has apparently agreed terms with Brucey, and we are awaiting a response on a bid for Geremi. Anyone would think we are Chelsea's feeder club or something!
