deancoles 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2005 2-0!! Tyson is so fucking good <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not bad for "an emergency loan" Edit: Hopefully that stupid Loans only thing will be gone next year, We've got to pay most of Bridges wages until the end of December and hope Carlisle want to keep him instead of doing a simple Free transfer. Anorak 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 In other news, I benched Henri Camara out of my fantasy team because Wigan were playing Arsenal. And sure enough, he goes and scores. So I miss out on points from him unless Nolan doesn't play tonight. Just my luck. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thank you, fog! The ref for the United/Villareal game tonight was a disgrace. Why is it that referees can't tell when players are blatantly diving and play-acting, when however many thousand were at the game could? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You would think with everything at stake, the final match vs Benfica will be a more open affair and that will only benefit Man Utd's chances. They haven't had the answers when Lille and Villareal have shut up shop against them but Benfica will need a goal from somewhere if they want to play in any European competition again this season. I never rated Carew much over the years but he looks the real deal for Lyon. I thought Houllier might slowly fuck up Lyon a bit but they still look really good. PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2005 We're losing to Stoke, and will lose I assure you, but blades are 2-0 down to leicester!
The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2005 We're 2-0 down away at Huddersfield and by all accounts are fucking awfull. So bad in fact that after only 30m we've had to bring on Jack Lester to try and change things round. The radio commentators slaughtering the players saying they're not pressing or puttting in any effort when they don't have the ball.
The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2005 Lester's just crippled the goalkeeper and only got booked for his studs up two footed challenge at his knee. God bless crap refs.
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2005 Our loan striker from Sunderland looked ok, they'll probably want him back though...I'm actually not completely dreading the derby now though, it should be pretty terrible, but blades have sod all fit defenders...apart from the ones who used to play for us... Anorak 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2005 If we can can stick four past them then anything's possible. I hope Arsenal don't want Ryan Smith back too soon.
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2005 My prediction is now 2-2. Like I said before Blades/Millwall, it'll be 7-0 or 2-2.
Mystery Eskimo 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2005 I hate football manager 2006. Took Forest back to Premiership in three seasons, 16th after 10 games, get sacked for not being mid table. Bastards. Sorry, needed to vent there.
The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2005 Well we are pretty demanding fans.... I've got us 2nd in League One after 20 games, three point behind the leader with a game in hand.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2005 It's been a month and ProEvo's really beginning to get frustrating. I'm sick of being hacked down by the last man in the final 10 minutes, when losing 1-0, and the referee not giving so much as a yellow card, leaving me with free-kicks that are still virtually impossible to score from. I'm sick of the 'convenient' refereeing. I'm sick of all the bloody fouls. I'm especially sick of being able to completely dominante Arsenal all over the park one match, then end up in the ProEvo equivalent of Conference Football against Sunderland the next and not be able to string two passes together. I'm pissed that I started the Master League with Charlton without realising Danny Murphy and Darren Bent are shite. Especially as crap players like Morientes seem to be world class. I don't mind losing, so long as the matches are fun. I had Chelsea in the 'League C Cup' Semi-Final and played superbly. Led 1-0 right until Stoppage Time and conceded a header to make it 1-1 right at the death. I laughed it off though, because it was a fair game. Then, I play Sunderland and it's frustrating as hell. I won 3-2 but I was just happy the game bloody ended. THEN, I go two down to Liverpool in 15 minutes next game, because Deisler is unstoppable. Literally. You can't even hack him down. I manage to get back to two-two and then Deisler scores from a bullshit freekick. Needless to say, I didn't smile. Rant over.

I've got us 2nd in League One after 20 games, three point behind the leader with a game in hand. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Commons is a real pain to stop on the game, him and Trundle always get motm against me. Edit: after adding the new players we've signed/took on trial (David Noble and Rami Shaaban) my form's improved quite a bit with Noble being the playmaker and Shaaban letting me flog Phillips. Anorak 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2005 A loss at Elland Road but at least we got a good cup draw. Spurs at home is the best third round draw for as far back as I can remember. Could be a decent game if we manage to turn in a performance.

Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2005 World Cup pots announced "Hosts Germany and defending champions Brazil were named among the top eight seeds for the World Cup finals as expected on Tuesday, along with England, Spain, Mexico, France, Argentina and Italy. FIFA decided the rest of the draw, which takes place on Friday, would group teams in pots according to their geographical locations rather than their current world ranking or previous World Cup performances. The USA and Holland have both just missed out on being seeded. The second pot will contain Australia, the five African finalists: Ghana, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Angola and Togo, plus the two lower ranked South American teams Ecuador and Paraguay. The third pot will comprise eight European teams: Croatia, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland and Ukraine. The fourth pot will comprise four Asian teams: Iran, Japan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and the three remaining from CONCACAF Costa Rica, Trinidad & Tobago and the United States. A special pot will contain only Serbia & Montenegro, the lowest ranked European team, who will be placed in a group including either Brazil, Argentina or Mexico. FIFA created the special pot so they could avoid having any groups with more than two European teams.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2005 Aside from USA, there's no-one in Pots 2 and 4 we shouldn't be easy winners over. Good news. Also, did anyone else watch Liverpool-Chelsea. That Essien's a dirty fucker, ain't he? I guess that's what you get for £25m or so.
deancoles 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2005 (edited) Ivory Coast could be difficult, Toure,Kalou and Drogba would be a nightmare at corners with our set piece defending. Edit: Wonder what the odds are on us getting Poland or Sweden in the group? Edited December 7, 2005 by deancoles411

Gert T 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 What time is the draw for you guys? It's 3 p.m. over here for me so I gotta haul ass to get home in time after work. Fortunately the boss is not going to be at work tomorrow, so I bet I'll slip out before hand. FIFA has only announced so far that Germany is in Pot A & Brazil in Pot F? King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 Something like 8pm over here I think. Not sure if that includes the customary 40 minutes of filler at the start or not though.
Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Report post Posted December 9, 2005 The draw is due to start at 7.30pm GMT. There's no way i'm going to watch it though, i've seen these draws before and they are always far to long and far too boring. I'll be looking up the draw the next day. Watch the the "s" word in this folder! Not only did the U.S. get f'ed out of a seeding...but we get put in a pool with a bunch of shit teams, so we can't possibly face them in the first round. That's pretty lame. You did nothing in 1998 though which was what it was partially based on. Athough what the point is of the FIFA World Rankings are if they don't use them for seedings I really don't know. Anyway, I think we've got a great group. T&T will try hard but are full of Championship/League 1 players, Paraguay aren't a threat and we've got to beat Sweden eventually, and even if we don't I can't see them beating us when it really matters. I'm actually quite looking forward to June now
jwpeer 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 England has it easy... USA on the other hand, Italy AND Czech is gonna be HELL. Poor Ghana getting put in that group, then again they can easily play spoilers to someone and you never know with soccer. Better start prepping for Italy and Czech like NOW, ugh.
