Two of our away games (Hartlepool and Bradford) are in the bottom three on the Home results league table Hartlepool and Bradford are in the bottom six in terms of goals scored. It's amazing to be excited about Forest again, even if it just about getting promoted from out of the third divison...

deancoles 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2006 The Premier League Exit Trials is going on at Lilleshall today, we usually get priority on bringing trialists in because of our Academy status. Edit: We've got 6 Graduates from the Academy with 1 injured player with an offer on the table.
The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2006 Police have confirmed an investigation has been launched following allegations of "financial irregularities" at Pride Park. The inquiries centre around chief executive Jeremy Keith, finance director Andrew Mackenzie and former director of football Murdo Mackay. A spokesman for Derbyshire Police said: "We can confirm an allegation has been made about financial irregularities involving Derby County Football Club. Derbyshire Constabulary are making initial inquiries to ascertain whether there is any legitimacy to this allegation and whether any offences have taken place." The Rams, who continue to labour under debts estimated at £45million, have confirmed a club statement is to be made in due course. Meanwhile, Keith is in the midst of negotiating a refinancing agreement while a consortium of five local businessmen are preparing a takeover.
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 It's unreal, isn't it? And hey, remember that bit about Stuart Pearce saying he'd never manage Derby? He's turning out for us in a testimonial next month, which I thought was cool/weird.
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 Furthermore, is there any up to date FM2006 updates anywhere? Thedugout.net has only December of 2005 as their latest update.
The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 There's one with all the January transfers on the SI site that I've got. Just use the check for updates button thing on the main screen when you load the game and it'll take you to it.
deancoles 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 I'd download the No Data patch(link at bottom) plus get a Good unofficial update(latest one at bottom), to be honest you can choose any update and you'll probably have to correct your clubs Reserves/Youths,Finances and add any Sell On Clauses. The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2006 ANOTHER WIN! Annoyingly the Oldham v Barnsley game wasn't a draw so we're still not quite in the top six, but we're still kicking ass and I think all the other results went out way. Second is now a even greater possibility...
Mystery Eskimo 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2006 Every game we win I sit back and imagine how Gary Megson must be feeling. It's like nails being driven into the coffin of his career. Until some stupid chairman takes pity on him, anyway.
deancoles 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2006 We also won again, we're 9th now with a positive goal diff and hopefully can finish above Oldham who we play at home next week.

deancoles 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2006 2-1 to us as well, in our last 2 games we get a chance to relegate Swindon and be at Southend for their Promotion party/see Goater's last game.
The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2006 Some more showing off... Yesterday our attendance was 28,193. Only Chelsea, Sunderland and Spurs had more people at their games.

Until some stupid chairman takes pity on him, anyway. Yeah, an amazing run for Forest. I thought it would be too late for you to make the play-offs by the time you got rid of him but it's looking good for you right now. Maybe Megson could try his luck in Scotland like Craig Levein will probably be doing again.
deancoles 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2006 http://www.leaguemanagers.com/awards/tissot-league.html Haven't been top of that since we won 11 in a row. Edit: Did come at a price though, we went down in 80,81,82 and ended up selling 10 year season tickets for £500, we were only saved by the Ashton Gate 8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/bristol/content/artic...8_feature.shtml

deancoles 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2006 From the Local Paper, shows how the Swans have bottled it in the run in. "On December 7th Bristol City were bottom of league one 25 pts behind then leaders Swansea City. Today theres just a three point gap, as City close in on the Swans play off place" sending down Swindon on Sat would be good, they beat us on Sky in November to go above us at the time. TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2006 Now that Derby's season is over, I just look forward to following Arsenal for the CL and England in the World Cup.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2006 Arsenal for the CL? Can't bring myself to do it, I'm sitting here routing for Villereal right now. Although to be fair, Wenger's actually got one Englishman in his team tonight, that's a nice change. Anyone else got FM Handheld? I'm playing as Norwich, 3rd in the Championship and the board are telling me to "Ignore those supporters who have been calling for your resignation". I've heard of demanding fans, but come on now. Anorak 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2006 Arsenal were crap last night but thank god for that Lehman penalty save. No wonder players continue to dive so much. It's depressing that one of the most notorious divers in European football for the past decade can so easily con a top official in the last minute of a CL Semi. It was the safest bet in the world he'd fall over in the box sometime before the final whistle when he came on, I just didn't think the ref would be daft enough to give it. deancoles 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2006 Season isn't even finished and our best player is been linked with Norwich for 750K, looks possible as well, when Port Vale bought Dinning they took out Brooker's Promotion Payment and now we're trying to flog Fortune to them in exhange for the Sell On Clause being took out. Edit: Speaking of sell on clauses, every time we sell a player for a fee we include one(Akinbiyi,Lita,Hill,Rosenior,Amankwaah,Anyinsah)
Guest Damn You Helmsley Report post Posted April 27, 2006 You know, I hear that some countries believe that the best way to hire the national coach is to just go ahead and do it. But then why do that when you can have months of hear'say and rumour to give those clowns on Sky Sports News something to talk about? "Coming up after the break, the thoughts of John Aldridge, Viv Anderson, Peter Reid and a some hobo we found outside Anfield on who should be the new England manager". Give. Us. A. Break.
