Might as well say something here and bring this thread back to the original off-topic topic.

The only mod on my right now on my Civic hatchback are the rims. I really like the investment because they make my car look much better than the stock tires and I really like how the car grips and turns now.

I was contemplating doing some minor improvements under the hood. I've always been really split on modding my car. Sure I get more power and speed, but is the trade-off really worth it? Besides, the 106HP VTEC engine in my little car is respectable on its own merits, and it's fuel-efficient as fuck which is a godsend when you're living in California and strapped for cash.

But rest assured, body kits will never see the light of day on my hatch. I personally wanted to club my former workmate over the head everytime I saw his car. He had this weird ass hell second spoiler on his 92 Civic hatch that rapped around the back around the level of the fuel tank. Dmmit the Civic drove great and I could forgive the lowering, the huge muffler, and maybe even the GINORMOUS original spoiler, but that second spoiler...gah....

Just please, for goodness sake, don't paint your drum brakes like I saw one schmuck do the other day after he got rims. It isn't really something to show off.

My Mustang is staying totally stock on the outside, with the exception of removing the grill on the front of the hood scoop, so it at least looks real. I might get a new suspension that'll lower it an inch or two, but the purpose of that would simply be a better suspension, not the lowering. Oh, and the Bullitt rims. Gotta have those.

I really never understood the point of painting drum brakes. Yes, those are your drum brakes, I need to see them because...?

And truth be told, I don't mind lowering if it means better suspension. I'm just bothered by the kind of lowering where the car is so low profile that any sort of incline puts the front bumper in danger of scraping the pavement. Function over flash, I say.

Well, in about my second shift at a very well known fast food company (think golden arches), I skolled a cup of coke syrup for a free meal. Made me feel like shit, but I got food.

Oh, and I was Top poster two days straight once, that's my claim to fame. Go those One and Only RAW threads!

HBK16, all I remember is being in the mid 700 dollar range for the set of rims and tires (tax included) when all was said and done.
