Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 26, 2003 The Run Down *WWE Title Match Triple Threat Match Kurt Angle Vs Brock Lesnar © Vs The Big Show Vince McMahon Vs Zach Gowan Stephanie McMahon Vs Sable U.S Title Finals Eddy Guerrero Vs Chris Benoit WWE Tag Team Title Match Rey Mysterio and Kidman Vs The World's Greatest Tag Team © The Undertaker Vs John Cena Indecent Proprosal Match Jamie Knoble Vs Billy Gunn APA INVITATIONAL * It really isn't all that bad of a card...We have three potential ***+ Matches, The APA could be great Comedy or a meaningless throwaway 10 minutes. Only one match makes me cringe (take a guess which)... Yes...We'll have bitching about Lack of Dragon and Mattitude here but oh well... Should be fun at the Bar...This event is *made* for Bar... Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Why can't the Web-cast people just drive to the friggin bar? Spend 10 bucks and you can say "I WATCHED THE CLASSIC EDDY/BENOIT match for only 10 bucks!" instead of waiting 3 days for a bleh Kaaza version...
Guest Space_Cowboy Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Even with the McMahon idiocy this looks much better than any recent WWE PPV. Provided they don't do anything dumb with the US, Tag and World Title matches it should be a good show for the most part.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 26, 2003 And if we turn off our Smark goggles and just have fun with the McMahon shit it can ber awesome.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Just to add...I'd thought I throw in my Predictions WWE Tag Team Title Match Kidman/Mysterio Vs The World's Greatest Tag Team * I expect this to go 12 minutes with a good fourmulaic match (rey playing Morton) and ending with a Mis commucation spot with the Faces...TWG win with their Hart Attack style finish (Benjamin superkick into Haas of Pain) on Rey. Indecent Proposal Match Billy Gunn Vs Knoble *Give it 6 minutes with Nidia helping Jaimie get the win. Undertaker Vs Cena *'Taker will be motivated and that's good. 'Taker might be taking time off and that could mean Cena gets the rub here. I expect a 10 minute Brawl with Cena countering the Last Ryde into a F-U. Sable Vs Stephanie McMahon *An 6 minute Hair pulling Cat Fight leading to Gowan helping Stephanie...Vince runs out to Zach and chases him around the arena...Making their match a impromptu Falls count anywheres match Vince Vs Zach *They brawl and it leads to the ring as vince dominates Zach but Zach fights back and makes the comeback win on his own. U.S Title Finals Eddy Vs Benoit *Eddy is the DE-FACTO face here as Benoit is smart to play this up...They go 22 minutes with their usual awesomeness. It finishes with a Ref bump which gets a HUGE POP from the crowd (knowing it means CHEATING time)...Eddy does something dastardly yet comic but Benoit kicks out...Eddy then wins after going for a Super Body Press but rolling over twice and hooking the ropes for the win and the title. APA invitational *Hilarity Ensues as to give the crowd a breather after that 25 minute thriller. Some "HA-HA" guy like Funaki or Spanky wins with a Comical Finish. WWE Title Match Lesnar/Show/Angle *It goes 20 minutes and it's well booked as they clearly show that TBS is double teamed her but Angle and Lesnar slowly get irritated by each other eventully turning on each other in the match. The finish? Angle goes for the Angle Slam on Show but Lesnar comes in with a chair and swings at Angle but he ducks and drops Show to the corner...Lesnar F5's Angle and lays him out...Show is in the corner...Lesnar climbs the show and sets up for a F5 BUT show converts into a Choke and throws him RIGHT over the ropes into the railing... Angle pops up and Angle Slams Show off the top rope for the win... Lesnar re-enters the ring and Angle offers his hand but Lesnar blows Angle off and leaves... JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Don't know about Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero getting 22 minutes, I have a feeling once Vince McMahon, Zach Gowen, Sable, and Stephanie McMahon get 20 minutes for each of their matches there just won't be enough time for a Chris Benoit/Eddie Guerrero classic. Guest MideonMark Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Wouldn't a barroom brawl take place in you know, a bar? Also how exactly do you win, is it just gonna be last man standing? I think Lesnar should go over in the main event, by pinning Show. Angle takes Show out, but Lesnar takes the sneaky pinfall. I just hope and pray to God that Vince doesn't interfere costing Lesnar the match, leading to the dreaded Lesnar vs Vince match at SS. In the weeks leading to SS Lesnar tells Angle that if Angle can't beat him at SS, he'll never get another shot at the title. Angle agrees saying that if he doesn't beat him, he doesn't deserve a shot. Lesnar wins with Heymans help, but earns a shot at the title by winning the Rumble(kinda like the whole Yokozuna/Luger angle, at least I think that was the angle). Angle then beats monster heel Lesnar for the title at WM. Vengeance is pretty much guaranteed to be the best PPV since WM, seeing as how Eddy/Benoit, the tag match and the main event will more than likely all be ***+
Guest MideonMark Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Crap, in the third paragraph I meant to write 'Lesnar wins with Heymans help, but Angle earns a shot...', just in case you were wondering
Guest Chuck Woolery Report post Posted July 26, 2003 For some reason I think Noble/Gunn is going to surprise a lot of people. Vince v Zach, too, is either going to be a complete mess or an overbooked-but-good match. Steph v Sable could surprise people - nobody expected Steph/Trish to be good back in the day. Bar room brawl could kill people in boredom, or be decent. I'll lean towards the former. In all: This card could give us more than the three "guaranteed" good matches, people. Could give WMXIX a run for its money.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Hmm. *looks at card* *see's Spanky, Rey, Kidman, Knoble, and Gowen all in matches* *see's no actual cruiserweight matches* *remembers he's the only one who sees a problem with this* So Bad Blood went about 15 minutes short of what it should have gone, will the WWE adjust their times to the matches to make them longer, or did they just add Billy vs. Knoble to compensate? Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted July 26, 2003 *WWE Title Match Triple Threat Match Kurt Angle Vs Brock Lesnar © Vs The Big Show This match will be good. It could reach ****. Pat Patterson will have his hands all over it, it should be good booking and Big Show will play his role well cause he has nice clotheslines and there's enough SnM (smoke and Mirrors) in this match to make him look good. The x-factor is how Angle and Brock will go at it. Vince McMahon Vs Zach Gowan Stephanie McMahon Vs Sable These two matches will "be better than you'd think" but in reality will suck, but "not suck as hard as you'd think". It's stupid what low expectations and over-booking will do to a mans sense of good. U.S Title Finals Eddy Guerrero Vs Chris Benoit I'm just feelin the "disappointment" vibe. Kinda like the vibe Flair/Michaels had, but I knew that match would suck while this match will be good but it may not be godly. WWE Tag Team Title Match Rey Mysterio and Kidman Vs The World's Greatest Tag Team © It should be a fun match (a lot more fun than the Bar Brawl) with a bunch of neato-spots. It will probably be "too short", in that they will just get 10-12 minutes, and it's one of those matches that you don't want to stop. The Undertaker Vs John Cena Probably will be the surprise of the night. I can see this reaching ***, Taker has his workin boots on and might feel it enough not to have the national guard run in to cause him to lose. Either way, I expect that "punch/kick" counter to bust. Indecent Proprosal Match Jamie Knoble Vs Billy Gunn Bleh, THIS should be on heat. APA Crap God this is such crap. This is just an opportunity to have all the old agents and mcmahon favourites come out and stink up the place. The only positive I can see is that at least Lawler won't be calling it. Guest JDMattitudeV1 Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Cena had better fucking win, there is no reason for taker to win this one. It looks a pretty good card as long as the McMahon shit is kept under 10 minutes each it should be a good show. Bring on Benoit and Eddy!
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Well, if Taker is taking time off to be w/ his family due to the death of his father, Cena's chances of winning tonight just shot up.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2003 (edited) Brock Lesnar Vs. Kurt Angle Vs. The Big Show for the WWE Championship - I'm hoping Brock will win somehow, but I got this gut feeling that he get screwed out of the title again. Man, I HATE Triple Threat matches. Eddie Guerrero Vs. Chris Benoit for the United States Title - I really like both of these guys, but I'm more of a Benoit fan than Guerrero. Given their history, its easy to say that Benoit has a better win record. They are also both US champs who haven't held the title since the late 90s. I don't really care who gets the victory. I hope there will be no run-ins. This will be best match of the night. May the best man win . The World's Greatest Tag Team Vs. Mysterio / Kidman for the WWE Tag Team Championship - Expect Benjamin and Haas to come out on top once again. The Undertaker Vs. John Cena - Its sad to hear about The Undertaker recently, but I hope Cena wins. APA Invitational Bar Room Brawl - I'm going for either Kanyon or DOINK! Sucktacular matches below: Vince McMahon Vs. Zack Gowen - Zack (Edit: You can blame Hogan for leaving us this mess) Stephanie McMahon Vs. Sable - Sable Billy Gunn Vs. Jamie Noble - I actually like Jamie, too bad he gets stuck with a lame opponent. I hope Jamie wins. And no Ultimo Dragon or Matt Hardy on the card. Fuck you WWE! This is just an opportunity to have all the old agents and mcmahon favourites come out and stink up the place. The only positive I can see is that at least Lawler won't be calling it. I'm too lazy to go through myself, so I'm just gonna agree with RRR... 1) It could reach ****. Pat Patterson will have his hands all over it... You know, I suck at jokes, but there's one just waiting to be told there. And I agree because I don't see a real reason for everyone's problem with Big Show. 2)Yep...they'll suck but not as much as we'll expect, which will slow down our McMahon bitching for all of five minutes. 3)I'm just waiting to see what reasons people will come up with to explain this match not reaching *****, without blaming EDDIE~! and BENOIT~! My bet...it's Triple H's fault. 4)Rey and Kidman are one of my favourite teams ever. And has no-on noticed they're not building the match the 'traditional way' of them hating each other ever so suddenly, like they're doing with Legend and Jarrett in TNA. Rey and Kidman want titles, they win matches to prove they are worthy of titles, they get title match against champs. Old school booking. 5)Taker's focus may be a little off, considering his father's passing away. But he'll be out to put on a good show, like he has been on PPV all year seemingly. 6)They've had this match twice on free TV, twice it wasn't great. They should have put a stip on it at the very least. 7)Meh, it mat be crap, but it's comedy sports entertainment filler crap. It'kll probably be like a cross between the Gimmick Battle Royal and the Hardcore Battle Royal from the Manias. It'll be in a barroom hopefully, otherwise it makes no sense. And after what you said, I am so hoping agent Malenko shows up and wins. But anyway...meh. Beats a burping contest. And no Ultimo Dragon or Matt Hardy on the card. Fuck you WWE! Lol, it had to happen. Choken, you called it. SOMEONE had to bitch.

Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2003 (edited) Since we're talking about the July PPV, I think Fully Loaded 2000 was bad because all the "WWF Rookies" lost. Chris Benoit lost to the Rock. Chris Jericho lost to HHH. And Kurt Angle lost to the Undertaker. God, that fucking sucked. EDIT: I posted this because of the attention of Cena / Undertaker. And the HUGE chance Cena might not get put over. Edited July 26, 2003 by Rico_Constantino
Guest LJSexay Report post Posted July 26, 2003 I think FL2000 was an amazing PPV. Yeah, rookies lost, but they all seemed so close to winning... it was believable. Some exception to the Angle/Taker match, but eh... I love this PPV.
Guest MideonMark Report post Posted July 26, 2003 I loved Fully Loaded too, yeah the new guys didn't win but so what? We had two great matches in Benoit vs Rock and HHH vs Jericho and a pretty damn good cage match as well.
