Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted July 28, 2003 "Tongue", which is Kiss Star Gene Simmons men's magazine recently interviewed HHH. In the article when asked about the necrophilia angle, HHH said that when he originally pitched the idea to Vince, it was meant to be a parody in the vein of the old DX skits. Then he said Vince changed the tone to be more darker. He said Vince wanted the fans to think "man, what a sick fucker" as opposed to HHH just trying to be tastelessly funny which was more consistent with his character. WTF? Thoughts? Guest HHH123007 Report post Posted July 28, 2003 Vince wanted the fans to think "man, what a sick fucker" as opposed to HHH just trying to be tastelessly funny which was more consistent with his character. I think the fans just really thought "Man, why am I watching this crap?"....I know that's what I was thinking.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2003 Some people thought it was nastiest shit they ever saw on RAW (because of the concept) and others thought it was funny as fuck (because it was a blow-up doll after all). Depends on how you looked at it.
Murmuring Beast 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2003 That's merely Triple H trying to pass the blame. Fire him Vince!
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted July 28, 2003 My thing is HHH wanted it to be a funny, mocking bit while Vince wanted it to be anything but. He wanted it to cross the line into sickness. It makes the bit go from passable to notorious and it's Vince's mind that took it to the next level.
Guest MissMattitude Report post Posted July 28, 2003 Well not according to one fan who, when Triple H was beating the crap out 'Katie Vick' proceeded to shout "You're not funny" at the top of his voice... everyone could hear him quite clearly.

I still crack up about that. It was like dead silent there too.
Guest MideonMark Report post Posted July 28, 2003 That fan shouting that reminds me of Michaels long winded 'HHH join the nWo' promo, when a fan shouted 'Get to the point!'. Also I remember the night HHH returned from the quad tear, he got like a 5 minute ovation and when it went quiet, a fan shouted 'You suck!' at the top of his voice. Good times. Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted July 28, 2003 I thought Michaels said Trips didn't want to do the angle. HBK? Lying? For one of his buddies? I'm shocked. Remember @ Raw X? Fan: ARE YOU DRUNK SHANE? Shane: I wish. Fan: ...ARE YOU HIGH? Shane: ...
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted July 28, 2003 It was pretty obvious to me that Vince was the one who wnated the necro like it was shown. Why? Because Trips, for all his faults, still knows what works in wrestling. He's not the one who is losing touch with reality. Hell, he's more cunning then ever backstage. Think about it. Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted July 28, 2003 Hopefully the Death Chairshot will clear his mind up. Or just make him lose a lot of blood. Either or.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2003 Wait I thought HHH hated the idea? Even as a "funny" skit I'd think it was the worse idea ever.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2003 Meh, HHH comes across as haaving a really crap sense of humor. Has anyone seen that random DX promo where they're wandering round New York, and HHH keeps on making really unfunny rascist jokes. Dick.
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted July 29, 2003 That fan shouting that reminds me of Michaels long winded 'HHH join the nWo' promo, when a fan shouted 'Get to the point!'. Also I remember the night HHH returned from the quad tear, he got like a 5 minute ovation and when it went quiet, a fan shouted 'You suck!' at the top of his voice. Good times. I remember an HHH promo from just before Judgment Day 2002. Someone shouted VERY loudly "You suck!" in the middle of it. Then Edge came out, got 'what'ed, and after that HHH told him "For all the things I am, there's one thing I'm not.." and before he can finish a fan shouted "A wrestler!" And how can I be the first in this thread to bring up the HHHonk? I'm still amazed at how he was able to make that noise.

I wished the angle had never been thought of. BUT... if it was going to be done, HHH's way was the right way to do it. Shroter, more over the top, less serious, etc.
Guest papacita Report post Posted July 29, 2003 I've never seen the actual segment, but I always figured they were going for something like the "Have a bad day" skits from early 2000...which, now that I think about it, weren't that funny either.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2003 There was nothing funny about the actual segment...except the HHHonk, but that came after it.

Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 29, 2003 we all know the real reason for this was Vince's opportunity to soil his mother's name. Remember he was sexually abused by his mother...VICKY. So he had HHH(Vince Junior) rape her.

After the Katie Vick video ended HHH was laughing so hard that he made a honking/snorting noise.
Guest Lil Naitch Report post Posted July 29, 2003 Funny story- that was the first Raw I missed in a long time, because I went to a haunted house with some friends. Guess I got the better end of the deal, eh?
