Guest William E Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 My number one favorite would be Wrestlemania. My second is a tie between Summerslam and KOTR.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I love Summerslam- It's always been my favourite
Guest CanadianChris Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Depends on the year, depends on the matches, depends on a lot of things. Overall, most of my favourite matches came from WrestleMania, so I guess, that's the top, with SummerSlam being a close runner-up. KOTR is definitely at the bottom of the pile.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I love Summerslam- It's always been my favourite Be prepared for a letdown this year.
Guest HartFan86 Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Rumble & Summerslam are always fun...but Mania is the best.
Guest CanadianChick Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Top 3 (in no particular order, because I generally like all the 3 ppvs that much): -Wrestlemania (well, duh) -Royal Rumble (I love Rumble matches, and there's usually another good-great match. For example, Angle/Benoit, in 2002, Rock/Jericho, in 2001 Jericho/Benoit..) -SummerSlam (usually a fantastic card. You usually can't go wrong with SS)
Guest Anglesault Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 -SummerSlam (usually a fantastic card. You usually can't go wrong with SS) Again, I point to this year where there is ZERO promising matches on the Raw side and about a 65% chance of SD! being bad as well.
Mecha Mummy Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Royal Rumble. I LOVE Rumble Matches, and I can't remember the last one that didn't have the Rumble match itself and then a very good match on the undercard as well.
Guest Askewniverse Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 In order: -WrestleMania -Royal Rumble -SummerSlam I used to look forward to Survivor Series, but then two things happened: (1) they stopped booking the elimination tag matches, and (2) they try to fit in a screwjob every year.
Guest AndrewTS Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Usually Summerslam has been the best overall to me. Which will change this year.
Guest Choken One Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 The Royal Rumble in my mind is the All-Star Game/Home Run Derby for the Wrestling Fan. The BEST ppv tends to be Mania because of the Superbowl athosphere. Summerslam tends to be best show or one of the best seemingly each year. All the other PPV's such as No Way Out or Unforgiven aren't special even if they do have a classic match... Survivor Series once was a A great PPV but it's become just another PPV.
Guest ManKinnd Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 When Survivor Series had the elimination tag matches, that PPV rocked the house every year. Rumble's are usually fun, but when the rumble match sucks, it sucks hard and, since they last a while, you have to suffer a lot. Wrestlemania, no matter how sucky a card, always seems special because it's Wrestlemania, so I'll have to pick that, even if Summerslam usually has the better card of the year.
NYU Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Of course, WrestleMania has to be at the top of the list, followed by the Royal Rumble and then SummerSlam. But on a specific level, one of my favorite PPV's is No Mercy 2001. The Rock/Jericho match was great, and the Austin/Angle/RVD ranks as one of my favorite Triple Threat matches ever. It just seemed like the 2 Main Events of that PPV were fresh, and showing that new guys were being made into Main Eventers. Of course, things do change though.
Guest papacita Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Summerslam is my favorite, partially because that was the first PPV I saw. Right behind that would be WM, then the Rumble.
Jesse Badass Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 WrestleMania and Royal Rumble are my favorite PPV's. Most good matches do appear at WrestleMania and Royal Rumble matches are always fun to watch.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Royal Rumble. Even in bad years, this PPV interests me because of the Rumble match itself.
Guest undisputedjericho Posted August 1, 2003 Report Posted August 1, 2003 Always love the Royal Rumble.
Adam Posted August 1, 2003 Report Posted August 1, 2003 I've always loved the Rumble, but WrestleMania is the grandest stage of them all. In other news, 1400 posts!
