Can you imagine being the poor soul that Nash was trying to support himself on?

He must be like smark Kryptonite or something...

All smark jokes aside, a 300 pound man going deadweight suddenly and trying to support himself on you must be scary as hell. For the obvious "Is he okay" reason and that him taking you down might hurt you.

I don't like to see anyone get hurt, to be honest with you...

Working around an indy fed, I see people that I know go out there and risk their necks all the time, and I've seen injuries happen too. When it happens to someone you know, it humanizes things and you realize that those are human beings out there putting their bodies on the line for the sake of an audience, whether it be tens of thousands at a WWE show or several dozen at an indy show, that may or may not appreciate the risks you're taking.

When Nash tore his quad last year, I didn't really laugh, I just kinda felt bad for him, especially since it was his first match back from a previous injury. Call me a bleeding-heart...

Putting their bodies on the line? well duh, they get paid for it. That's their job.

I wish i cared either way. Nash may be an over the hill asshole, but fuck him. If he's in serious health trouble, then he has my support. I don't give a shit about Nash, but i don't want him being more crippled than he already is. That doesn't mean i don't want his ass retired.

As for the "laughter at injuries" thing, i don't care. Watching Nash fall with the quad tear was both scary & funny in an ironic way. At least when Hunter tore his, you didn't see him writhing in pain like an animal. But it's funny; Nash goes down, people laugh. Austin goes down, people feel bad. I know the backgrounds & reasoning for both is different, but it's still interesting.

I'd push a few guys at once, then you push whoever the people want the most out of those. Always. It doesn't matter if it's RVD or Benoit or Horowitz; if they get a good reaction, push em.

I guess it means a little more from the context of indy wrestling, where you're basically making pocket change(if that)...

In the context of WWE, especially the guys who make a ton and only work a few shows...well, you get the picture.

The only reason I don't find this funny is because I didn't get to see it happen on Raw.

And blowing out his quad on Raw 12 seconds in was so funny because of the situation surrounding it. It's a shame Gerwitz didn't get fired over it like was rumored might happen.

Nash should be retired right now, and not a single Kevin Nash fan can convince me he's physically capable of working as a regular wrestler or deserving of a main event program.

There's an underlined topic here that hasn't been broached enough.

Are we supposed to feel sorry for his health problems because he has them...and not understand that it's because HE DOESN'T BELONG IN A RING...

OR are we supposed to want him to get out of the ring for his own sake...and not bring up the fact that he blows?

Yes, it is hilarious. That's why we have PHYSICAL COMEDY and why people laugh at it.

Don't be all high and mighty.

None of you.

If you were walking down the street and a man was hit in the groin with a football you would all laugh.

ALL OF YOU.

Damn straight I would. Does that make me a bad person?

I might even remark "I guess that man just wasn't READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!"

Boo Fucking Hoo

So people want to make fun of Nash's latest proof that he shouldn't be an active wrestler.

Get over it.

I'm sick of the mamby pamby my feelings are too hurt bullshit that pops up far too often around here.

Someone has an opinion that we shoudl coddle Nash because he's a human being.

Someone has an opinion that they just don't give a fuck.

Neither is wrong their both opinions...and either can only BE wrong in the opinion of someone else.

So let's drop it.

Amen, brother.

As the saying goes: Tragedy is when you cut your finger, comedy is when you fall down a manhole and die.

I take no joy in the fact that Kevin Nash had to suffer that painful leg injury. HOWEVER, I find it funny that he, a man repeatly accused of being past his prime, does on his first night back, 17 seconds in, just by walking, and single-handedly destroyed the NWO angle.

I hope Nash is ok. I hope this is nothing serious. But it really doesn't make him look any better, either.

Basically, the point of Nash hate is that Kevin is not well liked for obvious reasons so the longer he is gone from the ring, the better.

Maybe he fainted because he was told he was going to job to Jericho that night.

You help old ladies across the street. You offer your seat on the bus to a pregnant woman. You help out at the animal shelter down the street for free.

You giggle at Nash fainting.

YOU ARE A BAD PERSON! YOU ARE PATHETIC! GROW UP!

*sigh*

Maybe we should just blame this on society, with shows telling us that people fainting and getting hurt is funny. Look at Home Improvement or 3 Stooges.

Either that or we can just accept the fact that some people think it's funny that a man they dislike (for whatever reason, be it good or bad) fainted.

Either way we can't really attack the values of either party, because who are we to judge?

Jesus said "Let he who is sinless throw the first stone."

To add to this, when I was a backyard wrestler I broke my ankle twice. Both times, people watched the tape of it and laughed hysterically.

And I laughed with them.

Sometimes injury just IS funny.

It's funny because everyone but Nash, HHH and Vince knows he shouldn't be trying to "wrestle" anymore.

Nash is getting too old to be getting burnt up by the smarks, that's why he fainted  . That's why he was beating up on Jericho on Raw, because he was too furstrated with the smarks, and he knew smarks liked Jericho, so he was trying take his furstration out on the smarks by beating up Jericho

(Did you see how old he looked on Raw, he needs to dye his hair and his mustache)

I wouldn't at all be shocked if he wanted a program with Jericho to piss off the smarks, after how glad we were about his departure.

Maybe he asked for Jericho to be in on it after showing him 2 posts from the Torch calling his match with Michaels on Raw shitty.

A nearby writer told me what Nash's last words were before losing consciousness.

"You want me to JOB to Jericho at the Pay-per-view?"

If I were a promoter, I might have trouble pushing someone that I didn't particularly care to watch, even if I knew that pushing that person would make me money...I guess that's why I'm not a promoter. ;)

-Patrick

Actually, with that attitude you're probably the most likely person on this board to land a job with WWE.
