I am a fan but that doesn't stop me from saying that Axl is a self-absorbed, megalomaniacal prick. They could have even skated by with average albums and they would have still had the world in their hands. Everything was there for them. The timing, the fan support, the album sales, everything. And Axl self-destructed, and the band went with him. That's why they;re trying to start another project with Weiland. They know they had something special, and Axl pissed it away. in that Zakk Wylde interview, one of the last things he said was that ever since he left Ozzy hes done a TON of stuff, and everyone is still waiting for that GnR album. From 93-97 they ruled hip-hop, but since then they put out some questionable music, got too complacent, and started infighting, and now they're basically a non-factor. Mick Mars has some strange medical condition that causes his joints to lock up, which obviously affects his guitar playing. Nikki Sixx is cool, rich, and fucks Donna D'Errico.
