Guest Youth N Asia Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 from IMDB.com American tabloid The National Enquirer has demanded Hollywood superstar Ben Affleck take a lie detector test - after he denied enjoying a wild night at a lap dancing club. The Gigli star - who is engaged to superstar Jennifer Lopez - was furious when he read the magazine's expose of his alleged trip to a Vancouver, Canada, strip club. And Affleck, who has furiously denied the allegation he cheated on his stunning fiancee in the nightspot, is considering taking the Enquirer to court - a move welcomed by the publication's editors. They claim to have put their sources through lie detector tests carried out by an independent polygrapher, and insist that the only way Affleck can prove his innocence is to take the test himself. In a statement on their website, The Enquirer says, "The Enquirer's sources for this shocking story were given lie-detector tests by a top independent polygrapher - and the sources passed the test! Now, the Enquirer is challenging Ben to do what we required of our sources for this article: Take a lie-detector test. The Enquirer will even pay all expenses associated with the test, to be conducted with a mutually agreed upon independent examiner!" ------------------------------------------------------------- I heard this on the radio yesterday. I guess they're claiming that Mr. Lopez went down on a few strippers while he was there. Bet he won't take it.
Guest Ripper Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 I wouldn't. Even if I didn't do it. Then he would have to be running to a tabloid to take lie detector test everytime he is accused of something or he will be presumed guilty. As of now, everyone knows that the Enquirer is nothing more than toliet paper with print on it .
Guest Youth N Asia Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 This will go away after a while anyway.
Guest eiker_ir Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 stupid tabloid, so what if he went to a strip club? it's not their business
Guest notJames Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 Stupid Hollywood celebrity. So what if he got his rocks off at a titty bar? It's not newsworthy or interesting in any way, shape or form.
Lil' Bitch Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 Some of the questions they'll be asking him will be 1.) Are you gay? 2.) Is your hair a toupee? 3.) Are you Matt Damon's secret lover? and last, but not least 4.) Were you abducted and sexually molested by aliens?
Guest Vern Gagne Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 Just take the damn test. It's not like this relationship will last.

Guest NoCalMike Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 Take it for what it is worth but NY Times reported JLo was partying solo at some NY club without her engagement ring on and kept denying she was engaged to Affleck......Gawd, how do I know this....
Guest Reservoir_Kitty Posted August 7, 2003 Report Posted August 7, 2003 If we ignore them, will they go away? I loathe Ben Affleck.
Guest Miss Indy Queen Posted August 8, 2003 Report Posted August 8, 2003 Take it for what it is worth but NY Times reported JLo was partying solo at some NY club without her engagement ring on and kept denying she was engaged to Affleck......Gawd, how do I know this.... This was actually reported on the news as well so take it for what it's worth. It's also going to be in People magazine too I believe. Yesterday on the Howard Stern show, they had one of the strippers from Canada and she was saying how he gave oral to one of the dancers. I don't know how true that is but she was giving details on the situation and how they all wound up going to Christian Slater's house after the club. I could care less what happens, but hey, if they don't get married, at least I won't have to see them plastered on my tv screen every single day.
Ripper Posted August 8, 2003 Report Posted August 8, 2003 The Moral of this story...Christan Slater is the man.
