OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2003 Great episode as continues to be the case. Yogalates owned. Its funny that even though I new about Jimmy/Kirsten, I was hurting for Sandy finding out and being somewhat heartbroken over it. That's how much he's made me like his character so much. I thought he was about to punch out Jimmy. I wasn't happy about the Summer/Anna alliance because Summer is best in bitch mode, so I'm glad at the end they were back to trying to get Seth back. Julie turning face I have mixed feelings about. I want to think she's not 100% bitch, but I hope a complete face turn isn't in the works.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted November 28, 2003 I don't see what Julie did as signs of her "turning face". Spoiler (Highlight to Read): I think her telling Kirsten that her father may become her neighbor, was Julie being a bitch in her own way
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2003 Sandy is probably the best character to have to write for, because you have to make him as the voice of reason for his family, but he's also such a victim in ways. You've got him being hit on by Rachel, his father in law hates him (and vice versa), and now he finds out the guy he's just warmed up to and is trying to keep out of jail kissed his wife. Not to mention the parental responsibilities. The guy has such a full plate, and I think that's what probably the most likable character on the show.

I love the sarcastic humor and great responsibility that is brought to the character. Also, you have to admit that Seth is also the man~!
haVoc 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 Digital Cable Preview for December 3rd, 2003 The Best Chrismukkah Ever: Seth combines both Christmas and Hanukkah into his own holiday; Ryan is weary of the holidays knowing that every other Christmas has family fights. [60 min] Drama. [PG] Can that be right? X-mas holiday episode already? From what I was able to find out, they are only going to have 2 episodes in December. This will be the Xmas/Hannukah episode, then in 2 weeks, the New Years episode. Then they won't come back til late January where the final 3 episodes of the season will air. haVoc 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 ::Gasp:: Season ends in January? Don't most seasons end around May or June? So, no more O.C. until September 2004? BTW, I was watching the VH1 award show last night and The O.C. won the award for "Biggest Guilty Pleasure." The whole cast went up on stage to accept it. OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 ::Gasp:: Season ends in January? Don't most seasons end around May or June? So, no more O.C. until September 2004? But this show started in August so that's the reason for the ending. Hopefully, it will start in the summer again. 17 episodes, not bad.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted December 1, 2003 I doubt it'll be a summer show now that it's taken off. I'd expect it to be a regular Fall season show next season. I wonder if Fox is going to give a trial run to a show every summer now.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 I'm sure we'll also get a bunch of winter/spring replays too. But yeah, only a handful of new episodes sucks. I just wanna know who Seth is gonna choose, and how. I'm fearing the "I like you both so it's not fair to either of you" cop out. BTW, you guys dig the sig? Check out www.the-oc.org. Guest bort Report post Posted December 3, 2003 I saw the episode last night, dont want to spoil for anyone but i thought it was pretty good the ryan/marrisa storyline is better than most but the seth storyline is way better. I can only wonder where there going with the seth storyline after seeing this episode
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 Bump Bump Bump, gang. Tonight's the night! Who will Seth choose? And if he chooses Anna, does that mean OldSchool has a shot with Summer!? What's up with Marissa being a klepto? More Cohen family drama (and quotables). I expect it to be good, as always. Even on the less "poppy" weeks like last week, this continues to be one of the most well written and developed shows on TV.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 All I'm going to say is, I saw a preview of the show for tonight and Summer drops a jacket and is wearing something red, small and sexy under it for Seth. Hmmmmm, Hmmmmmm, Good!
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 All I'm going to say is, I saw a preview of the show for tonight and Summer drops a jacket and is wearing something red, small and sexy under it for Seth. Hmmmmm, Hmmmmmm, Good! Hot damn. A bit of OC related goodness...the girl who resembles Summer in my psych class (has dirty blonde hair but the face is like dead on, like the same cheeks and lips) has a boyfriend. So that one is a no go for me, unless I go the Ryan/Marissa/Luke route and punch the guy out once a week, hehe.
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 Who will Seth choose? And if he chooses Anna, does that mean OldSchool has a shot with Summer!? What's up with Marissa being a klepto? Seth can buy her dinner and take her on dates then drop her off to me to finish the job. Whooo! Marissa has the goodie goodie look down so good I had already forgotten the overdose issue until last week when the 4 horsemen (Ryan, Marissa, Seth, and Luke) were standing outside of school not sure if they were ready to go in or not and each described their problems. OC has totally cast this show perfectly.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted December 3, 2003 Ryan=Flair (Short "blonde" funny yet serious at times) Seth=Arn (the best speaker and Ryan's wingman) Luke=Barry Windham (former outsider invited in, tall built like a shithouse and blonde) Marissa=??? I refuse to call Marissa... Tully Ole Paul Roma Benoit Mongo Melenko Sting
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 Marissa=??? Then we can either go with Baby Doll, Woman or Dark Journey.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted December 3, 2003 Lady Doll.... Woman was a TOTAL bitch. Dark Journey?
haVoc 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 Wasn't Liz part of the Horsemen for a while?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted December 3, 2003 She was Flair's valet along with Woman in Late 1995-1996 period. Summer=Liz. (the NEW elizabeth) but Marissa would be a heads on match for the "classy" Liz.

The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2003 http://www.rachel-bilson.com/chrismukka.html Now, throw in Anna dressed as Catwoman, and you've got a fight.
BlackFlagg 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2003 Ok, since yesterday I've watched every episode and all I can say is...uncle, I give! I'm hooked, I have come over to the darkside
haVoc 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2003 I liked this episode but I think it was the most boring to date. I wish they get Seth with Summer and get it over with. It's just hard to believe the hot girl who was always out of Seth's league wants him now and he turns her down. Ryan and Marrisa are getting more dull by the week. Seems like they planted the seed with the new guy in the office who will come between Ryan and Marrisa in season two. Sandy and Kirsten continue to own all and Kirsten gets hotter by the week. She's starting to pass Summer for me.
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2003 Capt. Oats with his own comic book! First Yogolates, now Christmukka. After the Wonder Woman scene I needed a cigarrette. Guy in the doctor's office. Same guy as the one in the previews for next week's show that has Summer and Anna turning their heads? No Luke this week yet Summer still isn't in the opening credits? Marissa's mom. Back in bitch mode. Jimmy dancing with Kirsten. Sandy shouldn't have allowed that. What happened to Sandy's coworker? Enjoyed when Ryan went off on the car door. Sandy's Stallone impression owned. Goonies and Over the Top references owned. Caleb is starting to get stale and needs to disappear for the season. Who'd have thunk Marissa would be the most screwed up of all the cast?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted December 4, 2003 Rachel was gone for the holidays. Sandy said that when he learned he would have to stay in the office. And sandy was too busy hammering his Father in Law to notice Kirsten and Jimmy.
Hoff 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2003 Besides, Sandy's sort of becoming the epitome of "nice guy" on the show (albeit with a little edge), so for him to get angry over one dance would have been out of character. I could have seen him saying something in half-jest, but that's it. Also, I liked the scene with Summer and Anna not accepting Seth's gifts, and was personally entertained by all three. But yeah, he DOES need to choose, because if this drags on too long it's going to get grating, I think.
