And when you think about it..umm..just yea...Ryan is dating "his mom's" (Yea, I know) sister...so in a way...he is dating his aunt...so ummm, yea, that's just freaky. BUT, I can honestly say when the doorbell rung I was like "Thats probably her mom coming to pick her up", then when it opened I went "Oh, its her". I was wondering why we could hear the kids in the background, and was waiting for her to snap at Sandy or something so that Ryan heard the secret or something simple like that. No way in hell did I see this one coming. I don't like the fact that Jimmy and Julie are hooking up at all. I can't stand DJ, and fucking Zach got on my nerves by decking Cohen and Summer really not caring about it, no matter how apologetic he was. Those were the only two things that irked me, but otherwise I loved the ep. Awesome speech from Ryan, and glad he got the girl, although their relationship should be VERY interesting now. And I'm so calling it, whether it's this season, next season, or season 15...Ryan will be given a position at the Newport Group. And both are just temporary distractions for Seth before he hooks up with Summer. Personally, that pisses me off, because Anna was a million-times the character that Alex is (and Samaire a million-times the actor that this new chick is). They're just *too* similar, if you ask me. DJ and Zack left to spend Christmas in another city with family so Summer and Marissa went to the Cohens. Ryan invited Lindsey. When she was dropped off her mom came in and was going to tell Kirsten. Caleb came in the room and was going to tell Kirsten. The kids come into the house from the pool house. Marissa's mom and dad come in the kitchen too (I forget the names, Jimmy and something). Kirsten and Lindsey find out they are sister and Kirsten slaps Caleb. Marissa's mom slaps him too. Caleb trys to talk to Kirsten but she throws a vase at him and locks herself in a closet. Seth asks him to leave. Christmakkuh is over but Summer saves it. Ryan tries to talk to Lindsey but she says she doesnt want to see him or his family ever again. Ryan convinces Kirsten to come out of the closet and welcome her sister into the family. Thats pretty much it. I think they are taking a 2 week break cause they said "In January 12 straight episodes of the OC. The colder it gets the hotter it gets on the OC." The previews were "electric". Ryan and Caleb get into it, Marissa "turns", and some other stuff, dont remember, those just stood out. Oh, Seth and Summer get a little intimate and Jimmy and his ex-wife try to get back together and he tells Kirsten that he loves her and she says "You dont love Julie" (TAHTS HER FUCKING NAME). The whole "extended family" dynamic is somewhat confusing, but I think it'll be interesting to see how the Cohen's deal with Lindsay, and especially the Ryan/Lindsay relationship. The tease of Marissa's "switch hitting" seems to come out of nowhere, so hopefully there's more build. PLEASE get rid of DJ ASAP, and it looks like Cohen and Summer could finally reunite after all. Although with the previews...it looks like Marissa may be hitting that soon and that sucks. Because, meh, Marissa is the character I least like on the show (well DJ this season) and it seems like whenever she's paired with someone...she just makes them even worse. Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2005 I hated the fact Jimmy had to leave (rumors of problems with him on the set are recalled, pretty sure they were mentioned in this thread), but honestly the character really had nowhere else to go right now. At least they've kept the door open for reappearances. I do like how Kirsten is suddenly burdened with so much, because a "crash and burn" story with her being overwhelmed by all this drama in her life would be a nice change of pace from her "put your happy face on" style. Fucking DJ, I hate that kid. Drunk Seth RULED. Adam Brody steals scenes as it is, but holy shit I was dying last night. Anyway, I was watching some of the first episodes the other day from before I started watching the show, and I can't believe what a pussy Ryan's turned into. I mean, he used to be a badass and now he's bitching out Marissa for giving someone alcohol? WTF! They need to get some decent male characters on this show. Maybe Marissa can fill the void. She can be the one that screws all the hot girls, tells people off, and gets in fights. When Ryan said that she was bringing him down, she should have said, "Oh really, I thought it was the whore from Chino that didn't make you wear a rubber."
