KingPK 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2003 I just think Edge's selling is very inconsistent. Just look at his Summerslam match with Eddy and the one at Unforgiven. I enjoyed the Unforgiven match more because Edge sold the head a lot more than he did the shoulder. About HHH - The simple fact is this: the World Heavyweight title is HHH's belt. He didn't even BEAT ANYONE to win it!! Michaels run was a flop for two reasons 1) He wasn't a full time wrestler anymore 2) It became painfully obvious that HHH would get it back. In my opinion, for the title to be salvaged, whoever wins it has to beat HHH CLEAN in the middle of the ring at least TWICE (title match and a rematch). Watch the great concussion selling at Unforgiven. Edge can sell, I say... horrible moveset.... that doesn't look realistic in the least, How so? His moveset was very effective in the great Unforgiven match. (All complete with shitty "Edge" related names) We all know that's his fault. he's bland, he's stale (or at least was before he got injured) I don't agree at all. He always works hard in the ring and you can tell he's not complacent because he's still improving. I know there's controversy over Edge's selling but overall he's pretty good at what he does in the ring. My simple explanation of this-I usually never fast forward an Edge match because I'm afraid I might miss something good. In my mind once someone reaches that level they must be doing something right. He's just been involved in too many good matches. As for the offence? Is it really goofy? I'm guessing here that the moves that annoy the people on the board and from watching others watch Edge are the flapjack-this is probably his goofiest move. Alone it's okay, (just look at Booker) but combined with his other moves it can become annoying Barry Whindam jumping DDT-great move. I don't think it's annoying Whatever that moves called where he goes behind his opponents and pulls the opponent down by the shoulders into a pinning predicament-I think this move is good but combined with the flapjack Edge's offence can become a little annoying. Personally, I think he should drop the flapjack and keep this move as Edge is good for using this as a near pinfall attempt. Spear-Just because it's not powerful enough. Still, I think the spear makes the grade and is a good manuever for exciting the crowd as he can hit it out of nowhere or pump the crowd up by squatting in the corner waiting for his opponent to get up. All the rest of Edge's offence definitely makes the grade though (love the missile dropkick) and overall I think he gets critisized a little unfairly here for his efforts while there are a lot of other wrestlers who have worse movesets (Rock, Austin) that aren't critisized asproportionately. Back to the topic of the 4 way elimination match-Didn't Edge have a leg injury at the time which was causing him to wrestle only sparingly?
