Downhome Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 (edited) EDIT: Screw it, here are videos from all three of the games... Smackdown: http://www.smackdown5.tripod.com/trailers.htm Wrestlemania XIX: http://www.wmxix.net RAW II: http://www.wweraw2network.com/movies.html ...now that's a lot better. Sincerely, ...Downhome... Guest Random Hero Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 It looks exactly the same as SYM, just with Goldberg in it.
Guest Eagan469 Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 meh - looks like Smackdown 2 with better graphics and worse sound effects
jimmy no nose Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 I'm not that impressed, hopefully it will play better this time around. The sound effects aren't something to worry about you're just hearing more than you would because they don't have any game music yet. It shouldnt sound too bad when the music is added.
Ripper Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 I saw the commercial for Wrestlemania XIX and it looked better as stills. It has me a little scared.
Ripper Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 The trailer is cool. They use alot of camera movements to make it look alot more dynamic than it really is, but the models look nice, if a little blocky. I LOVE that crowd though.
LJSexay Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 there's a thread around here with trailors for all 3 games. Out of them all, it goes [iMO, in quality lookswise] SD > WM > RAW. In action, of course.
Downhome Posted August 12, 2003 Author Report Posted August 12, 2003 I edited my first post so that it now has links to videos for all three games.
Guest Nightscrawler Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 Wow, the animations in WMXIX looks pretty bad. Especially for suplexs, like the ones HHH uses on Cena.
LaParkaYourCar Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 I actually liked the video for WMXIX. It looked nicer than the stills in my view. And whether or not it plays better I can already tell the characters move better than X8.
LaParkaYourCar Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 I saw the vid in question and the suplex looked just fine. The way the characters moved and did their thing reminded me of No Mercy so hopefully it really does turn out that way.
Ripper Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 ...TWGTT is'nt in WMXIX?????? Too...many...letters... I am just plain confused now... HEY!! Where the hell have you been? Are you a WDI poster now?
LJSexay Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 oh wow.. Rip . It's been... a very long time, neh? You were one of those people who made me wanna keep posting and such. Nice to see ya I post here, at WDI, and the new yahmean.com boards, ever since my boards were taken down. On-topic, TWGTT would be Haas and Benjamin... I hear they aren't in the game? Weird, since I know for a fact that the games roster [minus Goldberg] was locked down after WMXIX, whihc owuld mean that... they would be in the game. Bleh
Ripper Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 Damn. that means I have to waste two CAW spots on them. But the vids of the Caw process looks so indept, you should have no problem creating them.
dubq Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 Haas & Benjamin aren't listed in the final roster over at Gamespot. Kind of lame since they certainly have a bigger role in the current WWE than, say, Chris Nowinski does.
LJSexay Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 The Roster seems a little RAW-heavy, dontcha think?
