Damaramu Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 You know I remember this old commercial for a CD full of 80's rock called "Monster Rock". I always wanted it and then I saw it at Best Buy today and picked it up. Man does this CD well...rock. Anybody else have it? Anybody have anything to say about the paticular music on it? Here is the track list: 1. Quiet Riot: Come on Feel the Noise 2. Great White: Once Bitten, Twice Shy 3. Alice Cooper: Poison 4. Europe: The Final Countdown 5. Ratt: Round and Round 6. Warrant: Cherry Pie 7. Whitesnake: Here I Go Again 8. Poison: Every Rose Has Its Thorn 9. Winger: Seventeen 10. Living Colour: Cult of Personality 11. Twisted Sister: We're Not Gonna Take It 12. Judas Priest: You Got Another Thing Coming 13. Cinderella: Nobody's Fool 14. 38 Special: Hold on Loosely 15. Autograph: Turn Up the Radio 16. Night Ranger: Sister Christian
Henry Spencer Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 Yes, I have it as well. What can I say, hair bands are my guilty pleasure, and that album satisfys my need for some cock rock whenever I need it.
Nighthawk Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 Well, I have Monsters of Rap... but actually I do have that cd, because on reading the track list, all of those songs are in my mp3s.
HellSpawn Posted August 29, 2003 Report Posted August 29, 2003 Been a 30s guy, That was My Music so... taking off 38 special and changing Judas song for Painkiller or some other of their great songs.... That CD Rocks.
Guest El Satanico Posted August 29, 2003 Report Posted August 29, 2003 I never liked hair metal...terrible awful music... Judas Priest, In Living Colour and 38 Special shouldn't be on that CD.
Nevermortal Posted August 29, 2003 Report Posted August 29, 2003 Now all you need is Monster Ballads, and you'll be all set.
Damaramu Posted August 29, 2003 Author Report Posted August 29, 2003 Anybody seen Mullets Rock? I just saw the name and practically died of laughter. Living in Oklahoma it's kind of easy to go "mullet hunting" at WWE shows...there everywhere!
cabbageboy Posted August 29, 2003 Report Posted August 29, 2003 Dude, I actually got Monsters of Rock and Monster Ballads from amazon a while back. I think I got interested due to my brother's Vice City game and the goofy 80s rock station on there. I will defend the Monsters of Rock CD since some of that stuff is fun on a certain level. Monster Ballads sucks so much ass though. Aside from a decent Scorpions song (Wind of Change) and Warrant's Heaven (guilty pleasure of the highest order) it truly sucks. That Steelheart song on there I'll Never Let You Go is possibly the worst song I've ever heard. Incidentally why wasn't Rock You Like a Hurricane on Monsters of Rock???? What a glaring oversight.
WrestlingDeacon Posted August 30, 2003 Report Posted August 30, 2003 What you need is Freedom Rock. Everyone remember that commercial. Two guys sitting in the back of their van and another hippie walks and says "Hey man is that Freedom Rock? (flips hair) Well turn it UP!" I actually prefer Living After Midnight by Judas Priest. Hold on Loosely seems to be the default song that plays in my head when there's nothing else stuck in there.
