Pegasus Kid 0 Report post Posted August 23, 2003 Recently I've been having a problem where a file that's supposed to be say between 45 - 60 minutes long is being ended in 3 minutes by all my video players. If I direct the footage to a certain point then it plays from the proper point but the playback (not actual viewing) is accelerated at a huge rate. What could I have done to create this situation and how do I rectify it? Any help would be appreciated.
Guest The Old Me Report post Posted August 23, 2003 That sounds really fucked up. I've had that problem, if I open a file in WinDVD, butit can usually be cured by switching to another media player.
Guest Razor Roman Report post Posted August 23, 2003 Have you ever successfully played these files before? If you haven't, my guess is there is some bad data at some spot in the file and the video players are thinking it is the end of the file. It's happened to me before with some files I've downloaded. I just delete the file, clear my cache and re download it and sometimes it's good then.
the max 0 Report post Posted August 23, 2003 I'm having a problem too. The Kurt Angle desire video (Coldplay) is a quicktime video. I could always play it in KLite, but recently, I get audio, but the video stops before the counter even gets to 0:01. My other quicktime videos are doing the same thing. Pegasus Kid 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 BUMP THAT SHIT! So I got a new computer and it worked fine for a while and now my video files are doing the same thing. A file that should be 20 minutes to an hour is being played in like 3 minutes. It's not like it's in Fast Forward or anything, it just plays 3 minutes of footage and then stops (scroll bar moves as if the file should only be three minutes). Someone must know how to fix this. PLEASE HELP! SO MUCH STUFF TO WATCH!

Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Install AVIPreview and Gspot from http://doa2.host.sk/download2.htm and see if that leads to a solution.
