On SportsCenter today they had a preview of the Bears, and some guy said their odds of making the Super Bowl was 40 to 1.

Yesterday, they did the Colts, and I caught some of it, but not the odds part. Since I'm from Indiana, I'm obviously interested in *their* odds, so did anyone happen to see this yesterday, and can they tell me what they are?

I didn't catch it, but their odds should be about as good as those of the Bears. The Colts are the better team, but since Peyton Manning is always in need of a playoff Heimlich maneuver, their chances of getting to the big game are small.

The Colts are the favorite to win it this year as EVERYBODY and their mom are proclaiming that Edge will make 25 TDs and offense in general has improved and of course there is hype about how the coach is a defensive genius.

I think a Dark Hoss if you will shall come out of nowhere and win the Superbowl.

Go Panthers! Go Texans!

Their defense is soft. The latter half of last season exposed their early-season work as the smoke-and-mirrors I was trying to convince everyone it was. DUngy has a good defensive mind, but the Colts don't have a great defense. And I'm unconvinced he's a competent playoff coach based on his record to date.

Don't count them out. The Panthers are a good dark horse time, IMO. Their defense last year was stellar, and adding Stephen Davis is only going to help their woeful offense. They're still lacking at the other skill positions, but 350 carries from Davis will have them threatening for a wild-card spot late in the season.

Go Texans!

Feel free to count them out. :P

I'm still picking the Bucs to repeat..they've got primarily the same team, with the only question mark being the running game, with Pittman's problems..oh well, more carries for Mike Alstott. RAMMING SPEED~!

Did Manning grow a set of balls during the offseason or something? If not, they won't win it all. Or a playoff game.

^ Didn't you see how he manhandled Timmy when he tried to take his job and call the plays in the huddle? Peyton cannot do it by himself. He needs a healthy James to take some of the pressure off of the WR's.

I think this is the year the Chiefs make it back to the playoffs before getting ousted in the first round.

The Chiefs D isn't going to be good enough yet to make the playoffs. Their offseason additions are overrated as hell.

Vonnie Holliday is a decent player, but he won't make an impact. I think he had 6 or 7 sacks all of last year with 5 coming in one game.

Shawn Barber is a good player. But they overpaid big time for him. He is a speedy linebacker,, who can cover, but he is not a game changer and they seem to be counting on him to be an anchor on that D.

Who else was there? Ryan Sims, when he does something on the field I will consider him. And there was someone else that keeps getting mentioned in previews, but I forget who.

I am not sold on the Chiefs Defense after all it is Dick Vermiel and he can only work miracles for the Offense.

From what I have seen of the Colts they do have other options at recievers now. With Dallas Clark at TE working the double TE sets with Pollard which is the prefered offense of Peyton Manning. Reggie Wayne looked good in the preseason game I have seen.

With the way the league is set up today I will not be surprised that neither team makes the playoffs.

No one has said anything remotely good about the Chiefs D. So why would you have been sold on their D?

Even without a good D, KC could still make the playoffs. They will have to do it by way of their offense like the Rams.

For once, I actually agree with you.
