As was said above in a more inventive and amusing fashion, people actually trying to download Owen's death deserve to be fucked around.

I doubt WWE has footage of it. If they did originally, they would have destroyed it.

Did the original, live PPV broadcast show anything, such as Owen being put on the stretcher and taken out of the arena?

The original, live PPV didn't show anything with Owen. A Blue Blazer promo was up on the Titantron, when the whole accident happened. This is why many of the fans didn't see Owen fall, because they were looking at the screen. When the promo was over, the camera just stayed on the crowd and occassionally to JR and the King, while JR was saying that there was an accident. There was a whole bunch of crowd shots as they took Owen out of the ring, but there was never a camera shot of his body. Then, of course, as you know, the show went on while there was a blood stain in the corner of the ring.

Foley said there was a hole three feet from the corner he was at during the tag match.

Now, aside from pointing out again that anyone who is specifically looking to see a human being die (i can see downloading out of curiousity. it's the trying to find it i have no tolorence for), i don't think i'd have much of a problem seeing it, should it ever get out/exist period. Odds are that if a fan cam took it, it would be some rows back, since there's no way WWF would let someone get a camera anywhere near ringside for a PPV. Meaning, the quality would be poor, the distance awful, & the reaction would be the only thing probably letting you know what's happening.

I never got much of the gushing over Owen (which is mainly the "died young so he ruled" stuff). Sure, he was a great worker (i'd say given a few more years he'd have been as good as Bret in his prime), kinda fun promo, etc., but he was far from the god many say he is. But that's my opinion, i don't care if you disagree.

The only footage of the fall is locked away in Stamford, CT because you know that at least one of the cameras caught it...

knowing the sicko that he is, he has probably re-record it over top of it, with some really bad wrestling skit involving himself and his family some way

Is that such a bad thing?

Owen wasn't getting better in the final years of his career and was already 34 and wasn't going to get better, so he would have never been as good as Bret in his prime. If he didn't die then he would have a longer career, not necessarily a better one.

I do not remember there being a blood spot in the corner of the ring.

I'm pretty sure there was. I think the next match after the whole Owen thing involved Val Venis and Nicole Bass. After the match, Val kisses Nicole or something and placed her on the mat. When she got up, she had a little blood on the back of her white shirt. I'm pretty sure this was what happened - otherwise I'll sound pretty foolish right around now....

I'm sorry, I don't care what it is, dawing on the death of a fellow human being like that is just plain disgusting. Somehow I'm glad I never got into kazaa.
