King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2003 Ok, I was watching NWA Wrestling Classics...which is basically old episodes of NWA Worldwide, for those of you who don't have Sky/don't live in the UK. This week, amongst the numerous squash matches(and The Freebirds baby!), a match featuring the old school pudgy jobber and...Owen Hart. Now this was sometime in between WrestleWar 91 and Superbrawl 1 I think. Hart wrestled as the Blue Blazer in 1989/1990, and was back by 1992. But I can't remember ever seeing him on a WCW PPV. So...how long was he in WCW for...what was the deal with him being there(surely Bret would've wanted his brother in the WWF with him)...and what happened while he was there. cawthon777 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2003 He was only there for a few months. I believe he did a stint in Japan after his WWF run and then went to WCW - could be wrong. Showed up back in the WWF around November.

Showed up back in the WWF around November. I think thats about right. He was suppose to go to WCW in fall of 1990 but kept pushing it back while working in Japan, until around winter of 90/91. Guest The Rising Star Report post Posted September 3, 2003 Owen Hart and jobber should never be in the same sentence.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2003 It was weird watching the match...remember, this was back in the days of the Blue Blazer. Hart was doing stuff that you wouldn't see anywhere else in WCW...except maybe from 'The Juicer'...it just surprised me WCW didn't snap him up. The fact he was wearing a too tight yellow/orange singlet was weird too.
Guest wayzing Report post Posted September 3, 2003 Owen also tagged with Brian Pillman in NWA. They were called Wings. One would think a team like that would fit right in in that environment but they just disappeared. But hey! We got the Dynamic Dudes, right. there there

Owen wasn't in WCW long enough to have a tag team partner, especially not Pillman who was feuding with the Horsemen at the time. IF that happened, it was in Stampede. Guest Corey291 Report post Posted September 3, 2003 I have one or two matches on tape with Owen Hart wrestling in WCW. He wrestled Rip Rogers and pretty much squashed him. -Corey

I actually thought he was Corino for about a minute first time I saw him.
Guest The Real Nosferatu Report post Posted September 3, 2003 Pillman/Owen were WINGS in Stampede. Maybe your confusing the fact incase they tagged once in NWA and just assume otherwise.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted September 4, 2003 Totally off topic...Rip Rogers is like a cross between Steve Corino and the pink obsessed Steven Richards. I actually thought he was Corino for about a minute first time I saw him. I agree. Rip Rogers was one of those heel jobbers who was around for like 10 years, never winning a match. Kind of like The Gambler. Jobbers were pretty bad ass, I wish they would come back
Guest The Real Nosferatu Report post Posted September 4, 2003 Rogers = I think another Stampede guy from the 80s.
Betty Houle 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2003 Pillman/Owen were WINGS in Stampede. Pillman/Bruce Hart were Bad Company in Stampede. Not to be confused with the Pat Tanaka/Paul Diamond Bad Company in the AWA from the same time period.
