For WWE, it's Benoit/Angle from RR.

For the rest of the world it's Misawa/Kobashi from March. They had people crying at the end of their match it was so emotional. And it wasn't even the best match the two have had. (probrably fourth best)

Really?

I see there top matches in this order:

1/97

10/97

95 CC

97 CC finals

96 CC

93 CC

So is their last match really in the same league as the great Champion Carnival matches? Judging from the Tiger Suplex off the ramp, and all the other stuff I read about it, it looked like another sluggish "top this" type of match that was stale and boring by 98.

If that's not the case, than I will have to get off my ass, and order it.

I didn't find it to be a "top this" type match.

I looked at it as them letting it all go because it's more likely the last "huge" match they'll have. Deep down Misawa knows his (and to a degree b/c of his knees Kobashi's) days are numbered and I felt they delivered a great match.

Mybe not *****, but a solid ****1/2, and on an emotional level, very few matches they've had rival it. I also think 10/97 was their best, but this one will have a spot near the top.

Watched Dragon/London 2/3 falls again - on mute - and there is no way this is MOTY. There's a lot of smart work in it, but there's also a lot of very stupid stuff as well.

HeY! Dragon is tired! No wait! Dragon is fresh! No! Tired! No!!! FRESH!

HeY! Dragon is smart! No Wait! Dragon is so STOOOOPID~!

London's leg is hurt! Look at him SELL~! POWERBOMB! SSP!

Hey! A headlock! Going nowhere! And another headlock! Also going nowhere! HEY~! A HEADLOCK! GOING NOWHERE!

Ok, enough of that..

The multiple Desparation Pin-falls were improperly placed and paced. I don't know why Dragon was so desparate to get the pin-fall when he was in control of the match. Didn't really suit the character he was portraying. Plus it came right after Dragon was beating the shit outta London - so really, Dragon should have just continued his methodical assault, rather than playing the quick-pinfall game. Pacing was a bit of a problem throughout. They did a lot of those "I hit you, you hit me, I hit you" spots, it seemed, when ever they felt like it.

The pointless opening sequences. There's some smart stuff in them, but ultimately they are disjointed and pointless. Esp. when establishing Dragon as the "smart" wrestler who "learns" from his mistakes, and then does some incredibly stupid things after. London kept going for a headlock, which is fine if he did anything with it... but he didn't. The end spot with Dragon trying to backdrop London out of the ring would have been perfect to bring the headlock back and have Paul take AD down to the mat with a flying headlock thus setting up the finish. Of course, they didn't do that.

They over-played the top-rope-battle spot, they must have done that over half-a-dozen times, each ending with "stupid" Dragon falling to the mat. There was a spot where London and Dragon were copying eachothers moves... for whatever reason... I think they probably thought it would be "fun" to do.

Now, correct me if I am wrong, but was American Dragon playing the "cagey veteran"?? Cause I kinda got that feeling. American "4 years in the business" Dragon playing the well-travelled vet doesn't quite work for me.

I look at the voting and I am very pleased that Angle/Benoit is leading this one.

The 2/3 falls match is the only I haven't seen yet but After reading RRR's review...Doesn't look important enough...

Well considering that gobs more people saw the RR match then they did the ROH match is it really that surprising?

London v. Dragon is worth going out of your way to see

Choken said he was glad Angle-Benoit was winning. I pointed out that that's not really an accomplishment since gobs more people saw the RR then Epic Encounter.

Got it?

I voted Angle/Benoit, since I haven't got to see Dragon/London yet and I'm dying to see it. I have not seen an ROH match yet this year and I feel like a loser for that.

My top ten in no order besides the first:

Angle/Benoit RR

Y2J/HBK WM

Eddie/Benoit Vengeance

Brock/Angle WM

AMW/XXX Cage

WGTT/Filthy Animals Vengeance

Teddy/Juvi TNA

Kazarian/Sabin First TNA match

Styles/Jarrett TNA First match

EddieTajiri/Team Angle Second Smackdown match

I was just blown away by

KENTA & Marufuji vs. Hashi & Kanemura 9/12/03

This was one of the best tag matches I've seen in a long time.

it's riding high as my MOTY right now with Angle/Benoit and Tenzan/Akiyama battling it out for 2nd.

Tsuyoshi Kikuchi and Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs Koji Kanemoto and Jushin Lyger Noah 26 Jaauary 2003 for the IWGP jr straps.

Its like good wine when ever you watch it again the heat seems to get more intense between both teams and the action seems to get faster and stiffer.

A fantastic match and easily my MOTY.

Don't feel bad, I have never seen an ROH match, at all.

Speaking of which... where would one be able to find this much talked-about London/Dragon match, without having to go through all the trouble of downloading some file-sharing program?

Anyway, at this point my MOTY = Benoit/Angle from Royal Rumble, with Angle/Lesnar from WrestleMania close behind that.
