Now I know that Shadows Fall would not have one the big one, but Scissorfight? I saw them live, and they were terrible. Only Lamb of God and Shai Halud get more hate from me about a band that I couldn't stand when I saw live.

Discuss the rest...Does anyone else have local music awards like this?

Scissorfight's not too bad ... not the best of the year, but they put on a decent show.

And it's really cool how deep the Boston music scene's gotten again. It'll never be as good as it was in the early-to-mid 80's (e.g. Gang Green winning the RnR Rumble) but it's gotten really good again.

I want to see Shadows Fall, Dysentery, Killswitch Engage, and Beyond The 6th Seal kill whoever makes the decisions for the BMA's. Each year, Godsmack gets some award, and thus the rock stations suck Godsmack's cocks like the band is actually WORTH something.

There's no reason that Shadows Fall shouldn't have won the hard rock award. 'The art of balance' was MUCH better than the new Bosstones album, and that one for the best indie album. KsE should have been mentioned for either as well, as they're just as good as SF.

Not to mention:

Who the flying FUCK cares about The Bosstones anymore?

Just wait, Stevie. In 5 years, when Shadows Fall is all over the radio with some ballad-like thrash tune (much as Metallica was with "One"), the BMA's will suck their dicks. And then, we the Shadows Fall faithful from the start will be like "fuck that noise" and be COMPLETELY elitist to the BMA's.
