LooseCannon25 Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 I was thinking about someof the performers in the WWE who need a change badly right now and have basically run their course as their current character or role. I wanna know who you guys think is THE most stale act in WWE right now.....I'll nominate a few guys to start it off "Stone Cold" Steve Austin The Dudley Boys RVD The Undertaker Speak it

Guest Coffey Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Trish Stratus & The Dudley Boyz are the two big names that stick out to me. I think a heel turn could benefit both. Especially Trish. She could get crazy heat I'm sure.

You sir, are correct......good point.....Taker has been changing it up lately

Is that a good thing? Here's your typical Undertaker promo: This is my yard. And I'm the big dog. When you're the big dog, you own the yard. And when the big dog says get outta my yard, you have to respect that. Go pay your dues. I'm not feelin' it. I make the rules. You wanna know why? Because this is my yard. And I'm the big dog. Guest Anglesault Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Taker isn't stale. The Dudleyz have been for 9 months now.

I've like the Undertaker ever since his last WWE Undisputed Championship run however.
Guest Fook Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 The Dudleys are beyond stale. The APA were stale the second they were brought back.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Taker is sickeningly stale. Every time he comes out I feel my urge to watch wrestling lower. His matches range from OK to shitacular, and his promos.....Christ.....they are the worst thing ever. Throwing in a few (badly executed) submission holds don't make this guy any more interesting either. The Dudleys are the most obvious. They have been stale for 2 years.

Guest Anglesault Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Taker is sickeningly stale. Every time he comes out I feel my urge to watch wrestling lower. His matches range from OK to shitacular He had a very good match with Angle, and he carried Cena to John's best match in over a year at Vengeance. He's getting better.
Guest Coffey Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Like wine? Getting better with age?
The Czech Republic Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 I just don't want any more Undertaker at all.

His matches range from OK to shitacular He had a very good match with Angle, and he carried Cena to John's best match in over a year at Vengeance. He's getting better. The Angle match was OK. The Cena match was pretty shit. Taker sold nothing for the first period of the match and he made a superman comeback with supposed broken ribs. In between was nothing different than their usual matches.
syxx2001 Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Well, a while back I fell alseep during a Taker promo on RAW and woke back up after he was finished. I think thats stale. Or boring. Hurricane and Rosey. Neither are funny and the S.H.I.T. thing is something a 4 year old would giggle over, not a 16 year old.
Kahran Ramsus Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 I don't mind Taker. He's certainly better wrestling-wise than the slugs on RAW like HHH or Nash. As for the question, Trish & Austin are so over that it is tough to say that they are stale. I know they are to me, but the average fan doesn't seem to think so. RVD's problem is in-ring (and bad booking) so there is not much you can do about him. The Duds are super-stale, and are arguably the most stale performers in the entire promotion. HHH is similar. He's been doing the same thing for so long, that nobody really cares anymore.
Guest Random Hero Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Booker T needs to change it up a little a feel. Spinneroonis, Can you dig it?...It's all a bit old.
Guest Coffey Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Booker T. hasn't even been on TV in a month. Besides, we don't even know if he's coming back for sure yet. I would say that disqualifies him from being stale. He just needs to become a serious title contender instead of always getting thrown into backstage comedy skits.

In between was nothing different than their usual matches. Was there offense to sell in the first period? There was a punch and a big DDT that he sold well in both cases. But that's it as far as Cena's offense goes pre-Internal Bleeding. The comeback was very well done IMo and Taker's condition added a special feeling to the match and to John Cena as a challenger to Taker's dominance of SmackDown.
Guest The Real Nosferatu Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 UT only won at Vengeance because of him being a veteran. Cena does corner punches, UT finds the opp. to do the last ride because Cena is in perfect position.
Guest Trevor567 Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Rikishi and the Val Venis gimmick
PLAGIARISM! Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Myself, and at least 5 of my friends just roll our eyes and hit the fridge when taker does his 'put them over before and after I kick out of the finisher and win' match. You can call them move for move. I consider that stale. I don't think he's the worst, but he has no reason to win. Ever. The dudleys are most certainly the prime example. And really, I don't see how the hell they'll ever be of interest again, with an outdated gimmick, limited skills and absolutely NO good opponents whatsoever.
Spaceman Spiff Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Hurricane. Move him back to SD, and let him do "Sugar Shane Helms, pretty boy dick heel".
Bored Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Taker isn't stale. The Dudleyz have been for 9 months now. I think your being generous...they've been stale for over two years and the break up didn't help. I don't know what you can do with them at this point but the Raw tag division is so incredibly thin your forced to keep them around. They are just flat out boring.
Kahran Ramsus Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Rev. D'Von was good until they didn't do anything with it and we found out D'Von is a terrible singles wrestler.
Lil' Bitch Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Having been injured, "getting hit in the ribs by a steel chain", getting FU'ed, and then kicking it out had me screaming bullshit. The one time Taker is willing to job and Vince changes his mind... ::shakes head::
jester Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 I think Austin is stale. I hate seeing him bully the cast of Raw and them not really being able to get back at him because he can't wrestle a proper schedule.
Guest Duncan Eternia Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 I think they should have put RVD in evolution. That would be something unexpected to see RVD sophisticated and HHH would be happy because RVD would be under him.
