Spinal Tap, Saturday Night Fever, J&S:SB and I guess Fight Club would be good pickups if you don't have it already. Edit: And The Dirty Dozen~! Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2003 I think utter crap would fit this week's special better, especially when you think about what sort of specials they've had before. Don't bother with Fight Club since it's the single disc version and they're re-releasing the 2-disc one in a few weeks. J&SBSB rubs me the wrong way the more I watch it and besides, if you still don't have the DVD, something's wrong, because it seems like everyone has it. Barbershop might be a good pickup, even though I already had it and just gave it to one of my friends for Valentine's Day since she loved the movie. I'm not too broken up that this special sucks, since there's plenty of stuff that's dropping this week that's already got my funds tied up.

NYU 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2003 Ah, shit. Don't tell me they're releasing the 2-disc Fight Club in a few weeks. I just bought that DVD from Best Buy last week. Argh !

MrRant 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2003 Fixed that. I would agree with Bruiser on some points. But there are some decent movies to pick up cheap. Spinal Tap, Jay & Silent Bob, Saturday Night Fever and the Dirty Dozen are solid. Mission Impossible and Top Gun aren't bad for $10. So 6 out of 28 I would consider buying. But those are where my tastes lie.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2003 The one positive about big lists like that are there's usually something for everyone. Just so happens nothing quite grabs me this week. There are a couple of titles I wouldn't shun from my collection, but nothing I'm going to shell a total of 30 bucks out for, especially since I'm already looking at an expensive week, as it is. LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2003 I kinda want to go pick up Drumline and Scooby Doo. <ducks rotten vegatables> Those are kinda guilty pleasure, still somewhat new/recent movies at a price not to feel bad about. I don't know what the other one would be. Maybe get like Just Married or something for the heck of it.

Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2003 Footloose would be a good pick. I haven't seen the movie in forever, but I was on the stage crew for the local playhouse's production of it this past spring (I was conned into it) and although I thought it'd be dull, the music's very catchy and it's actually pretty funny at times.
