Use Your Illusion Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 I haven't seen this posted yet, so forgive me if this is a repeat: The idea to turn Jonathan Coachman heel was suggested and developed by Vince McMahon. McMahon, frustrated with Coach being too "bland" and "passive" as a babyface announcer, approached Coachman and told him of the plans several days before the angle transpired. McMahon's main goal was to get Coach over with a distinct character and to that extent, fed him all his anti-JR lines through the headset he was wearing. After the show, Coachman apologized to Ross for the comments. - Two tenatively scheduled matches for Survivor Series are Undertaker vs. Vince McMahon in a "Buried Alive Match" and Triple H vs. Goldberg in a rematch for the world title. - Despite rumors to the contrary, there are no plans by either Vince McMahon or WWE TV producer Kevin Dunn to replace Jim Ross as the RAW announcer. Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 Coachman apologized to Ross for the comments. yeah, anyway, this is old news. but funny news.
Cuban Linx Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 What a heaping pile of dreck the Taker/McMahon match will be.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 I dont get a burried alive match unless taker goes back to his old gimmick. Either that or he gets burried and it sends him back into his old gimmick.
Downhome Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 What a heaping pile of dreck the Taker/McMahon match will be. It wont be TOO bad, not in my eyes at least. While Vince is a shit worker, he can take a pretty good beating. As for Taker, he's really been busting his ass off in the past year. I'm going back into totall mark mode for him now, I'm loving his work. Still, we all know that Vince will win the match, getting a bunch of help from A-Train, TBS, and possibly Brock as well. The match could be a set up for something huge though. Imagine Vince and Co. putting Taker in the grave, and that's that. They could run a gimmick where we don't see him for months and months. Around the begining of March or so strange things start happening, we get a few promos, etc... Then, just in time for WrestleMania XX, The Undertaker "comes back from the dead", only to extract his revenge on all of those who took him out before. I couldn't think of a more fitting stage to set up Taker returning to his former character, before finally leaving the industry. Nor could I think of a better stage than WrestleMania XX to re-debut Taker as his true character.

If we hear news of the WWE re-signing Marty Jannety....
The Ghost of bps21 Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 I swear the WWE are becoming the KINGS of making me apathetic to shows well before they take place.
Lil' Bitch Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 Damn it, I planned on going to this event as well. Why do I have to see the PPVs with the barely decent cards? That are part of WWE's big four?!! ***Triple H vs. Goldberg in a rematch for the world title. *** Figures...
Guest croweater Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 Not to beat an already dead, beaten, flaccid, rotting courpse of a donkey BUT wouldn't it be better to, say, put a WRESTLER as the one who faces taker in a buried alive match....... especially considering that if taker does infact turn back dead then we are most likely gonna have to see another taker vs. MacMahon match. Being the one to bury taker would be a HUGE boost to a wrestler such as John Cena or EDDIE~! or Benoit. But nooooooooooooooooooo Vince needs the rub, Vince needs to stay strong. Vince is a fucking moron.

The Ghost of bps21 Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 I love how there's never any preplanning for anyone or for any feuds... but they already have HHH's title win planned before he loses it. I hate Goldberg...but if there is a God...RAW ratings will rise to the 8s when Goldbrg wins and then fall to the 3s when HHH gets it back.
Guest Sakura Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 The only thing better would be a Shane & Vince vs. Kane & UT match!
Guest nikowwf Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 Its nice to know that GOD will be getting his title back soon. I really was considering stopping watching Raw knowing that GOD would not have his title. niko
Guest Boo_Bradley Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 Goldburg may have wrestling 2nd negitive reign (See Birds, Free)
Crimson Platypus Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 I thought that I read that UT would retire before going back to the dead guy gimmick?
