Sorry to see him go, he was one of my favorite players when I was a kid and he didn't play for the Leafs.

Stevie Y could probably learn from this as well. Yzerman's a great guy, but I think it's time for him to go.

 

Anyways, it's nice to see that Gilmour did that one day contract thing so that he could retire as a Leaf. Well, ok, he didn't really, but it was effectively a one game stint last year, y'know?

I really liked Killer. He kicked all kinds of ass in his stint with Toronto.

I kind of wish that his last game didn't end with him dragging himself off the ice, but at least he did get to go out as a Leaf. Too bad he couldn't come back for one last season, though.

Stevie Y shouldn't retire. Ya his last season sucked, but he hasn't really became a shell of him self from the glory days, like Messier.

 

Its sad to see Killer retire, its hard to find a player that shows the same intensity for every game, no matter he plays against.

Chances are this is Stevie's last season anyway. Let him go out the way he wants to. He had major surgery last season and had a lot of rust to shake off when he came back. Hopefully,he'll be more effective this year and I think the plan is to play him more on the wing to take some of the work off of him.
