Smarkdizzown Commizzents

If someone feels like commenting on my match, I'll do my best to respond.

Hey WC, you know that I read this puppy before you sent it in and all but I'm going to say stuff here in view of all once again to keep the ball rolling.

Basically I have virtually nothing to add to the match. I think it was just about the perfect balance of storyline and action weaving in virtually all of Wildchild's programs for the last couple of weeks without distracting from the match with Xcaliber or making him look weak even though he was out of the storyline loop. The commentary was fluid and informative without being overly talky with just the slightest bits of humor with Ejiro being all bewildered by The Comet. The nodd to Duran as Fasaki walked out of the match was wonderful and seemed completely in character for both guys as John wants to kill and Ejiro wants Wildchild to get killed for not listening.

The only wrestling sequence I didn't really enjoy was the early moonsault kick miss, mostly because I have problems visualizing the spot and because Ejiro didn't make fun of it missing imnmediately. But all in all, that is my only "meh" for this match which I thought was really, really good.

No selling here and there for small moves. I just need to work on the description a bit to hide the fact it's no selling.

That's all I'm saying. Instead of Quiz hits the DDT, Dace gets up... go for more of a Quiz hits the DDT, jumps up with a big smile, turns to taunt Va'agia, Danny gets up. It's just a little difference though.

As for the littel bit at the start Ejiro talked about. It did turn out like an ECW style opening spot, but that's just my writing. This was not the sort of match or opponents when an indy applause stance was going to get used

I thought it was good myself. I don't mind the multipule missing spot trading bit as long as at the end someone actually hits something ;-) Or like you said if you're working the mental chess style match working for you ... but for this match the way you played it was really well done.

Mak, to touch on your desire to have the back and forth...I love that you do it man...I really do. But not everyone has time to write out a long winded response to your evaluations. I try to explain myself when I have the time, like today, but I don't always have time to do it...so sometimes I just read and sometimes I make a brief comment...and sometimes I do details. Just a note.

Completely valid point Thugg. I guess, because my internship is finishing up this week and they don't have any more projects for me to do, I have more time to dedicate to it. Still though, they don't have to be long like mine. I doubt mine will be long for much longer, school coming around and all, but the back and forth should be there regardless. People always think they have to write a lot, but I just want something different then 'the show was good'. Opinions on one thing you liked, in-detail, can be three sentences and spark interest/explore something other people didn't not think about.

And look, the thread made two pages... I guess this did work.

From a visual standpoint, that spot is supposed to look similar to when a face whips the heel into the ropes, and jumps up to deliver a dropkick as he rebounds, only to have the heel hold onto the top rope, leaving the face to fall flat. I've seen this done hundreds of times, but I can't think of any specific example to point you towards.

I did drop the ball on putting some commentary by Ejiro there, though; it never even occurred to me...
