Goldberg vs HHH

Recommended Posts

Doesn't really matter anyway because Triple H is slated to regain the title at Survivor Series from what I am hearing. There's also no point in talking about long-term effects because we all know that Vince & co. never contemplate the long-term. I see Triple H doing the job because of his injury, but it really doesn't make a difference.

You know....there's something that bothers me.

People always bash Goldberg for injuring Bret Hart..."he shouldn't get the title because he almost killed Bret!" , "FUCK GOLDBERG! he hurt Bret!" and so on...

But Owen Hart broke Steve Austin's neck, and people never say "FUCK OWEN! He broke Austin's neck!" , "Owen didn't deserve the title because he almost killed Austin!"

Just an observation....

That was a one-off, Goldberg has been described by many wrestlers as "hazardous", "unsafe" etc.

Just to play devil's advocate, a lot of people have said the same thing about your boy RVD...

As for the Owen Hart thing, I'd like think the reason no one holds it against him now is out of respect for the dead. But I have the suspicion if he was alive today, as an "internet favorite" he would still get a lot more leeway than the hated Goldberg.

I can't believe I walked right into that one. ;)
