"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair pinned Hulk Hogan

That just doesn't seem right, this was during the Hogan vs Shoes fued the WWF Parodied so well at the time (The fued that saw Arn beat Hogan 1-2-3 on back to back Nitros)

That's right, actually. I was there that night, and that was the first time the women's shoes were used to beat Hogan.

IIRC, Flair pinned Arn in the cage. Pillman interfered in the other singles match between the two, which was a week earlier. That set up the cage.

 

The match lacked because Flair wasn't supposed to be wrestling. He'd had minor surgery that was supposed to keep him out only a week or two. But, WCW insisted and Flair had to wrestle.

 

Hogan jobbed to Flair in January 1996 because of the skits. Hogan was supposed to be kinder and gentler and more willing to job. It's one of two singles pins Flair has on Hogan in their history.

 

I think Arn threw Flair Elizabeth's shoe to use while Woman threw the powder. At SuperBrawl, Flair beat Savage for the strap when Liz volunteered her shoe. The night after that, Liz delivered a brutally bad interview on Nitro.

I guess the only other 'legit' Flair win over Hogan was at Uncensored 99, although Flair did pick up many illegal pinfall wins over Hogan in late 91 when Hogan was champ. All of those matches had the decision reversed, with Hogan winning via DQ and keeping his belt since Flair knocked him out with a pair of brass knux to get the win.

Before I changed it, it was footage of a botch from the last edition of RAW. La Resistance were to do their signature move (does it even have a name?) on Spike onto the table. As you could see, Spike didn't make it all the way to the table for the planned spot and wound up hitting the back of his head onto the table edge, most likely resulting in a concussion, now that was sick looking.

Yep, that's the other win by pinfall.

 

Flair does have about eleven other singles match victories over Hogan - five by COR, six by DQ.
