Guest JMA Report post Posted September 11, 2003 As we all know, September 11th is tomorrow. There are likely to be many people who want to comment about this. Therefore, I've decided to start a thread solely for that purpose. Post thoughts, rants, opinions, ect here.
Tawren 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 Some people can be so damn insensitive. I live in Canada, for the record, but I was living in Montana back in 2001. Sitting in Math class today, one kid asks if we'll be having a moment of silence or anything for 9/11, and this stupid girl in the back of the room goes "of course not, we're Canadian, we don't care what happens to those bastards". Stupid bitch. Anyways, tomorrow is going to be a long day, and I hope that nothing like 9/11 ever happens again.
EricMM 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 So this is the only thread we can talk about 9/11 in? Oh, and didn't we already discuss 9/11 to death already? Oh, you mean 9/11/03? Well, hopefully, this will be an anniversary and nothing more. Why should this be PINNED?
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 I'm thinking it will be fairly low key in terms of coverage by the news stations. Certainly not the wall to wall coverage the 1 year anniversary receieved.
Guest JMA Report post Posted September 11, 2003 So this is the only thread we can talk about 9/11 in? No. I was just trying to stop the posting of the same threads. Oh, and didn't we already discuss 9/11 to death already? That depends on who you ask. Oh, you mean 9/11/03? Of course. Well, hopefully, this will be an anniversary and nothing more. Indeed. Why should this be PINNED? So other numerous threads of the same topic won't be posted. Don't take offence or anything.

Guest wrestlingbs Report post Posted September 11, 2003 Hopefully the only disaster that will happen today is the season premiere of The Mullets. It's amazing that it's only been two years. It's seemed like a lifetime with what's happened.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 Part of the time it seems longer than 2 years, but other times it seems alot more recent.
JN News 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 When I think of 9-11, I remember being so terrified on that day. I had never been so scared in all my life. I thought I was gonna die, even though I didn't live in New York.
Perfxion 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 I of the minority but I am having a good day so far and I will kep having one. Today is my mom's birthday and I have flowers going to her job right before lunch. It was a sad day but i for the most part put it behind me. I am not going to dwell on the past but look to the future. Morning news is already set up seeing how everything happended a not that long ago time wise, two years ago. RIP: here is hoping the only bad will be on UPN tonight.

Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted September 11, 2003 This has been a very crappy day as one of my dogs dropped dead of a heart attack last night.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 I was actually on a European bus tour that day heading into Paris when we heard the news. I think being on another continent actually padded the blow somewhat, because we were so far away from it all. Radio stations here in Houston had a minute of silence followed (generally) by "The Star Spangled Banner" plus a bit of reminiscing, and that was it. Very tasteful, I thought. Perfxion 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 Good thing you don't live in the NYC market, it is hard to escape coverage. While limited from last year, still alot about it. They did a classy thing(like U2 at the Superbowl, but all) of reading all the names of those who died on that day.
Guest JMA Report post Posted September 11, 2003 I remember I first saw the attacks on TV before I went to school. In first period, we were allowed to watch what was happening on TV. We saw the first and second buildings crumble. My teacher and especially his teaching aide were previously involved in the military (my teacher) or still involved with them (the teaching aide). The teaching aide got a call on his cell phone from his superiors. I believe they already knew it was bin Laden at this time. My teacher actually started to cry, and asked anyone else if they'd like to recite the pledge of alligence with him. We all did. It was so surreal.
