Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted September 12, 2003 In your own opinion, what match or matches do you feel are under apprecaited for whatever reason? I've always felt Katsumi Usuda vs Mens Teioh from the 3rd Super J Cup fell into that category. We were expecting stuff like Lyger vs Tiger Mask to be good, but I don't think that the BJPW representitive (even if it was Teioh) and Usuda had any business having a match that was that great. I'd probably say it was 3rd best behind Lyger vs TM4 and Lyger vs CIMA in the finals.
EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2003 How about Lyger/DICK TOGO in the Skydiving J? My GOODNESS that match kicked a whole lotta ass. Both guys were just absolute dicks to each other. I loved this match...

Internet Warfare 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2003 kensuke Sasaki/ Manabu Nakanishi #9872 from 10-28-01 was great.
Guest Rob Edwards Report post Posted September 15, 2003 There's a Dave Finlay Vs Jushin Liger match on a comp that I have that I'm quite in love with, I'm not sure of the date (I'd place it around 91) but Finlays being a stiff bastard and Liger's just being an awesome sympathetic babyface
Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted September 15, 2003 Vader vs. Misawa from the Baba Memorial show was pretty fucking good. Especially compared to some of the later Triple Crown matches which have been pimped.
EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2003 I still don't hear enough people praise the 12/14/00 tag match enough. I think it was just a beautiful match from beginning to end, especially with Kawada and Fuchi doing a great job as rudos.
Guest Sykotic2002 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 Keiji Muto & Masahiro Chono v. Hiroshi Hase & Kensuke Sasaki from November 1990 was pretty damn good also. Also matches with Vader/Bigelow v. Muto/Hase and the Steiners were pretty good as well.
Guest BAR Report post Posted September 19, 2003 I've always felt that 11/6/99 Misawa/Kobashi was under-rated except from on rollinggermans, who gave it *****.
Coffin Surfer 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2003 I've always felt that 11/6/99 Misawa/Kobashi was under-rated except from on rollinggermans, who gave it *****. Are you kidding, this match is more overrated than anything. With a few exceptions, you will all almost always find this match listed as an all time classic and one of the two's best matches together, which it most certaintly is NOT! This match is the embodiement of top this, where the story never goes any deeper than "I will drop him on his head with sicker and sicker moves until he stays down". The ending is just a string of pointless finisher kick outs to pop the crowd. It's not really bad, but it's a far cry from the super smart matches the promotion tossed out on a regular basis in it's heyday. The body of the match had some smart moments with the arm work, but if your familar with late 90s All Japan and their previous matches you know it isn't gonna be a threat to Misawa, and that it will end up just being filler. If you want an underappreciated Misawa/Kobashi match than look no further than their masterpeice in the 93 Carines. It smokes any of their post 97 matches, which undeservably get pimped a hell of alot more. Little things like Kobashi desperately blocking the facelock and Misawa fighting out of the Sleeperhold like his life depends on it is the extra effort that is missing in their later matches where these moves became little more than rest holds inbetween dangerous suplexes. Guest BAR Report post Posted September 20, 2003 Yes, good points and such. I'm not a big puro mark so I don't really care about the headdrops etc. I enjoyed the match. It wasn't 20/1/97 though by a long shot.
shlidgn90 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2003 one match i think is underrated is the hair vs. hair match between jungle jack and kyoko inoue/ bull nakano. that was one of the first japanese womens matches i've seen. it seemed as if bull and aja really hated each other.
