After seeing tonight's match though I'm convinced he's exactly like Jericho. I don't know if it's because Cena bores the fuck out of me and I wanted to see him get his ass beat or if it's because Eddy is just that good that you're like "wow, I like him".

Eddy had a ***1/2 match with RVD weeks after returning from his drug problems.... The accent part is just deep rooted undeveloped Racism, it isn't your fault.
The Metal Maniac Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 I've always felt that while it may be debatable as to who the BEST wrestler is between Eddy and Benoit, there's really no debate as to who's the better fit in the fed. Eddy just oozes charisma, comes across as being just plain "cool", and has a more high-flying, eye-catching style. He's like Benoit with an actual character.

cabbageboy Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 The parking lot match was a great example of the awesomeness of Eddie. Hell, it might well have been Cena's best match so far. Think about that! It's a friggin parking lot match, those usually suck pretty bad. Yet Eddie did so many inventive and hilarious spots in it that it became quite brilliant. I thought going in that this might be the sort of dumbshit match that would hurt Eddie's momentum. I was happy to be wrong.

If this were the spring when Eddie was ruling the tag matches and Benoit was getting buried then I'd agree. Or even if this was last year when Eddie and Edge were going at it and Eddie was seemingly peaking (though Benoit was good as well at that time). But now? Benoits match with Rhyno last night completely changed things. I have a question... should the Parking Lot Brawl been "fun"?

The Fans in the stands didnt act like the usual cattle and cheered eddy anyway. so now we get Los Guerreros reunite and probably yet another run against Team Angle.....all the while Eddy defends the Us gold.

At least I am. perhaps the variations between the fans would be those whom followed them from their separate paths from Benoit's Stampede, Japanese, WCW, ECW WCW days or Eddies Los Gringo's Locos, Guerrero Family, EMLL, Japan, ECW, WCW etc usually most Benoit & Guerrero fans are the same ones who lump them together as the 3 radicals with Malenko and Saturn. they just happen to be the most successful of the 4

There was only one 4.5+ star match out of all of them that year (Eddy vs Rey Halloween Havoc 97), so they were not the "holy trinity of wrestling".
