The Game vs. The Nature Boy vs. The Boy

According to WrestlingObserver.com and 411mania, one advertised ME for an upcoming Raw house show is HHH vs. Ric Flair vs. Randy Orton. I can hear JR now:

JR: The present vs. the past vs. the future of wrestling. BY GAWD what a match.

Brock: Hey, I thought I was the future of wrestling!

JR: That was sooo 10 minutes ago.

Dear Jesus, never a good sign when a man who is closer to death than anyone else in the company is the least injury prone guy in the match.

Hopefully it at least has Flair showing them all how cheating is done. I demand to see the nut shot, eye poke, belt shot and foot on the ropes pin all within 10 seconds.

Then Orton can pin him too :P

On WWE.com it says "By order of Steve Austin..." Plus this match is taking place in Flair Country.

Speaking of a house shows...I didn't want to post my own topic on it because I'm waiting for Meltzer or at least the Torch to report this...has anyone else heard the rumor that they are going to cancel house shows on 10/25 and 10/26 to accomodate the HHH/Steph wedding so everyone can go? Whoever heard of inviting all your co-workers to your wedding?

I'm going to this show, but I really wish it was a Smackdown one. Things like this ME make me wonder if the booking staff on Raw knows what the air not around Triple H's ass smells like. I mean, if they like the taste of shit so much, couldn't they just find a public toilet?

About the wedding thing. It's probably because Triple H and Stephanie don't have any real friends who like them. Speaking of which, I'll bet fifty bucks that they are announced as "Mr. and Mrs. Stephanie McMahon!"

Dude, it makes sense. It's Flair country. Flair challenging for the World Title and overcoming the odds of Orton's a good main event. Some people on here read too much into everything.

Maybe they could have Orton and Flair discussing being on Flair country, and Flair thinking he should challenge HHH, and Orton doesn't know whos side to take, so he joins in the match, but leaves it to Flair and HHH, and in the end makes his choice by helping HHH win as he's the leader.

Results from the show from 1wrestling.

WWE @ Thompson-Boiling Arena Knoxville, TN

The 20,000 + seat arena was only about 20% full

Bubba Ray & Devon Dudley b Rene Dupree & Rob Conway in a tables match when Conway go put thru a table. Post match a young boy was brought into the ring and given a piece of the broken table and had his picture taken by Spike who was wearing a neck brace selling his injury from Monday.

Mark Henry & Rodney Mack w/Teddy Long b Hurricane & Rosey when Henry pinned Hurricane.

Lance Storm b Rico w/Jackie with a superkick. Once again Lance Kissed Ms Jackie

Garrison Cade Mark Jindrak b Tommy Dreamer & Steven Richards w/Victoria. Dreamer was back to being a face as he and Steven argured the entire match. Finally Dreamer had enough and gave his partner a Dreamer Driver which allowed Cade to get the pin.

Molly b Trish to keep the woman's title when she reversed a roll up and held the tights for the pin.

Maven b Test w/ Stacy. Same stuff as with Steiner. Test brings a chair in and it backfires and Maven gets the pin. Stacy then tried to give Maven a lap dance but Test pulls her out of the ring.

Christian b Chris Jericho & Val Venis to keep the I-C belt when the champ pinned Val with the unprettier. Jericho was still acting like a heel. Post match Val gave a young lady his towel.

HHH b Ric Flair & Randy Orton to keep the World Title. HHH took the mike and said the crowd was not going to get there wish and see Evolution beat each other up. He then asked Orton to lay down for him. Randy said since he was a up and coming star that they should not do it. HHH then asked Flair and the Nature Boy said no way and turned the crowd in his favor. After some stalling the match finally started it it was basically a 2 on 1 with HHH and Orton beating on Flair. Ending was after a low blow by Randy on Flair it looked like the champ would pin Flair but he doubled crossed Orton by giving him the pedigree and got the pin. Everyone made up after the match was over.

RVD b Kane in the cage match by climbing out. Both referees got knocked out during the match and missed RVD winning the match a first time. Kane put RVD back in the ring and tried to take him out with a chair but it backfired on him and RVD climbed out a second time which the refs saw to get the win.

Notes:

The Coach was the guest ring announcer for the show. Let's just say the Fink was really missed.

Local wrestlers Tim Horner & Jeff Anderson were backstage. They were guests of Arn Anderson who is a long time friend of Horner.

Randy Orton got to spend some time with his dad Cowboy Bob Orton who was in town to work a show for local promoter Terry Landel on Sunday in Knoxville at the TN Valley Fair.

See, this makes no sense to me. Why make RVD win? Was it simply to let the crowd go home happy? Because that's about the only reason I can see that happening.
