Ever since Chavo made his return on SMDN to help Uncle Eddie the rumors have already started: When will Chavo inevitably turn heel?

I don't really understand why this needs to happen. At this point a feud with Chavo would do nothing for Eddie's career aside from keeping him mired in the midcard (perhaps that IS the reason...).

Further, if everyone is already wondering how long it will be before Chavo turns, wouldn't Eddie be prepared for it? Over the past few months Eddie has been the smartest and sneakiest man on the roster. If Chavo turns on him and Eddie is made to look like a fool, doesn't this hurt months of booking that made Eddie look like a wrestling genius?

Chavo and Eddie had a great feud back in 1998. Maybe Chavo will be the one to take the US strap from Eddie so HOPEFULLY Eddie can move on.

I remember that feud. Chavo used the frog splash, Eddie used the tornado DDT. It was quite the beautiful piece.

The benefit of the feud would come from the other way around, with Eddie helping Chavo get to that "next level". Yet, I'd guess it's assumed that Eddy should take his shots at the title, before coming back to feud with Chavo (either as a main-event player or otherwise).

An Eddie/Chavo feud would be great for both. They'd have a chance to put on an incredible series of matches, and it could end with Chavo winning the belt so Eddie can feud with Angle or Lesnar. That would leave Chavo holding the increasingly prestigious U.S. Championship and he could feud with Benoit, Rhyno, or <shudder> A-Train.

I like the idea of Chavo staying in the cruiser division.

If Mysterio loses the belt to Tajiri, Chavo has an automatic built in feud for the belt. They could bring up the fact that Tajiri replaced Chavo as Eddie's partner and build from there.

I think we just assumed Chavo will turn because it's what they do...

The CW divison needs more starpower and eddy has rubbed Chavo enough to do that...

The CW level is getting some good airtime with Tajiri, Mysterio, Kidman, Nunzio...just throw in Chavo, Dragon, Funaki, Spanky, Gowan and Maybe London.

That's a DEEP roster.

Yes It's true...Personally, I feel they could go the Owen/Bret route with this one...

Have Eddy get his wwe title match with Lesnar at Series and Chavo turns on Eddy in their hometown right in front of Granny Guerrero...

It doesn't need the world title or even the US title...It could be a beautiful/funny/dramatic angle to run with...

Well...they've got to do something fast with Chavo, he's rapdily balding

Or you can bring back Pepe and Chavo can be a escaped Mental Hospital Patient...

I guess my point is this: Yes, the initial feud in 1998 was fun, but to me Eddie and Chavo have been even better together. I wouldn't do something like turn Chavo in a world title match...just have him turn and cost Eddie the US title against Cena.

The reason I'm against Chavo turning in a world title match is that quite honestly I don't trust them to keep Eddie in the title mix after that. The Chavo turn would be an excuse to shuffle Eddie back to the midcard.

Technically, Eddie would actually have to RESPECT Chavo turning on him (seeing as Eddie did it to Tajiri). The thing about Eddie's character is that it's so unique. Normal standards don't always apply to it. I'd like to see them wrestle and try to "out cheat" one another (like Jericho vs. Christian).

Which is why Eddie would be so mad to see Chavo "go straight". The psychology of the match would be Chavo throwing Eddie off by not taking cheap shots, not putting his feet on the ropes, telling the ref that Eddies shoulders were up when he got the 3 count, and general good sportsmanship. What would make this brilliant is that the fans would boo Chavo for doing these things and should be encouraged to chant "cheat". It's the sort of gimmick that fans can get into because they are a part of it, rather than just spectators.
