Adam 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2003 If Kurt can go out there with a broken neck, Brock can go out with a busted leg.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2003 Well, the guy did lift Big Show for the F5 with broken ribs... There was also a bad knee at the time too, I think. I remember we were all blown away by that, as well as the guy doing a match like normal with blood practically shooting out the back of his head. I don't remember a bad knee then but don't worry! Brock's in there with Ric Flair 2K3! It'll still be ***** - for REAL this time! You were kidding about that part Mulatto, right?
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted September 15, 2003 My theory: Brock guts it out and still does the Ironman with Kurt, and the match is absolutly god awful cause Brock can't move.
Guest PowerPB13 Report post Posted September 15, 2003 HHH could fill in, citing that 'he's been there, done that'. Somewhere, HHH is smiling... "MY Ironman match-uh will STILL be the best-uh...those two jobbers can't measure up to me-uh..." Come to think of it, I wonder whose idea it was to schedule those house show matches to go long, perhaps in the hope that Angle and Lesnar would be worn out by the time the TV match rolled around? Hmm... -Patrick
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted September 15, 2003 gonna be a short ironman match...unless it will be 50 minutes of both men out on the mat.
Guest EternallyLazy Report post Posted September 15, 2003 As of post-show tonight, the preliminary belief is that Brock Lesnar may have floating cartilage in his knee, which caused the knee to lock toward the end of the match with Kurt Angle earlier tonight in Richmond, VA. At this point they are going with the idea that Tuesday's Iron Man match is not in jeopardy observer.com
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2003 Has anybody thought that the Ironman match might just be a bait and switch? It just seems like too BIG of a match to give away on free TV since they've given PPV matches like Rhyno/Benoit and Cena/Guerrero out lately, i wouldn't be THAT shocked if this happened. Guest THE MIGHTY THOR Report post Posted September 15, 2003 The ironman match should be on ppv, i don't want a match butchered by commercials. But i also don't want to watch a match where it's going to suck b/c Baby Huey has a bad leg.
Guest TheGame2705 Report post Posted September 15, 2003 Why aren't people laughing about Brock getting hurt? You mean to tell me some people are hypocritical? What?
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2003 My guess is they progessively made each house show match between Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle longer to see just how long they could go before they start slowing down. Gives them an idea of where they can make the most commercial breaks without missing anything big.

the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2003 Why aren't people laughing about Brock getting hurt? You mean to tell me some people are hypocritical? What? Um...what exactly is hypocritical? People laugh when people they don't like get injured. It would be hypocritical if the people who laugh at Nash complain that someone laughs at Brock. Has there ever been a high profile feud that just seems cursed such as this one? I can't ever remember a feud where something was wrong going into every match. Guest NCJ Report post Posted September 16, 2003 Any time in ECW when RVD was suppossed to go over for the World title. RVD vs Taz: Company was totally building towards Taz vs RVD everyone knew it was coming. Then Taz signed with WWF, and the blowoff match was just thrown together. RVD vs Mike Awesome: Less than a month after RVD begins the program he blows out his knee on a damn baseball slide. Right before RVD gets clearance to compete Awesome leaves the company. RVD vs. Rhyno: Everyone knew it was going to be the fued if their was any way for ECW to stay afloat then the company shut down.
