Crimson Platypus 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2003 Damn, I missed Danza and Foley. Someone needs to write a sitcom with those two in it. Instant hilarity.
EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2003 Damn, I missed Danza and Foley. Someone needs to write a sitcom with those two in it. Instant hilarity Yeah and don't forget that Danza MUST play a character named Tony. Its, like, in his contract.
Crimson Platypus 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2003 They could do one where Tony (as Tony) is Foley's new live in maid/nanny. Would be great laughs I swear. (also, would love to read Dean's version)
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2003 The Maxx Payne story was amusing. I maintain that this will be the only time I watch Jimmy Kimmel every weekday.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2003 I found it amusing that an old lady could/would stab someone with a corn dog stick.

Fökai 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2003 Since I'm taping all five shows, I can't wait to see Austin and Foley together on Friday. Last night's show (Tuesday) was pretty much all-Kimmel and zero Foley.
art_vandelay 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2003 Hey would you those of you who have seen the shows mind giving those of us who aren't allowed to stay up past our bed times a quick re-cap of the Foley-related highlights from the show this week? Much appreciated.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2003 Hey would you those of you who have seen the shows mind giving those of us who aren't allowed to stay up past our bed times a quick re-cap of the Foley-related highlights from the show this week? Much appreciated. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Monday: Co-host introduction - Mick Foley Introduced by the HIAC clips that has brought Foley onto a higher plateau of insanity, Kimmel asks about that night in particular. To Jimmy's disgust, Mick mentions the nose in his tooth, as well as the gaping hole beneath his lip (the reason he was "smiling"). Foley goes into the story about how he lost his ear in Munich, Germany against Vader. Kimmel is delighted at the afterstory of the incident, with Foley speaking in German to the nurse (which contradicts what he said in Have A Nice Day!). Foley then quickly delves into the story behind wanting to write Have A Nice Day! without a ghostwriter, then explains the plot of Tietam Brown. 1st guest - Tony Danza Talks about his new stand-up gigs, as well as his role in a Los Angeles play(?). Danza talks about his run-ins with Mick, with nothing of interest. Tony did seem like a big fan of Foley's work. 2nd guest - Steve Miller A quick plug for Steve's new CD. Mick relates his high-school experiences of getting warmed up for his field hockey games by listening to Miller. Steve relates a story about two lumbering 350+ lb. wrestlers, MAXX PAYNE and Dr. Squash, who came up to him for an opportunity to "break" into the music business. He brushed them off at first, then said "what the hell" and gave them a listen a few weeks later...he LOVED it. Miller joked about how "soft" Payne was, referring to an incident where an OLD LADY almost stabbed Payne to death with a CORNDOG STICK, which everyone in the entire studio got a kick out of. He then referenced a second story where Payne was injured in a match in Germany by "elevator tram wire disguised as ring ropes", which Foley quickly noted that that was the cause of his missing ear. 3rd guest - Burlesque dancer Catalina(?) Would be the highlight of the show, if Steve Miller didn't make fun of Maxx. She's literally NOT wearing a top (a breast-less bra, with tassles covering her nipples) with barely a hint of underwear. Sorry, I'm shallow, but HOT DAMN~! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll do Tuesday once I watch all of it. art_vandelay 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2003 Thank you very much, sir. I can't believe Maxx Payne would get that much attention on a nationally broadcasted program. It's probably his career highlight. However I'm confused when you say that Foley contradicted himself, because I remember reading that he asked the nurse in German if he could keep the ear, just that he didn't know how to say "fermaldehyde" so she threw it out.
