I just watched "Lullaby" and I noticed something about Holtz. He looks SO much like Page McConnell from Phish.

The Las Vegas episode was okay at best

 

"Okay at best"? It was "Okay at worst" - the main henchman should have been the fucking big bad for (a) year; he was bringing the dickery in spades. The GvE guy was also nice and sleazy and sorta reminded me of Harland Mathers. Gunn was fun and him and Fred at the blackjack table was fun-ny. Fred in a showgirl outfit was actually a lil bit spanktacular, and apathetic Angel ruled - but not as much as "well, it's not like I was invited to the wedding reception... funny story" vegas-hot-shot Angel. It also put a focus on Angel's destiny which would come into play later on in the season. Fred's explanation of Lorne vanishing is classic.

Yeah, gotta agree with Rudo here. I loved that Vegas ep. Nice and fun, especially in light of the sad/depressing stuff Angel was doing before that. Good change of pace.

 

Plus that Asian chick was quite hothot.

Yeah, had it just about a year ago.

 

In regards to that article you posted from Buffy.nu, the "SMG quit and that's why it ended!" hype always bugs me. It was like this huge shock to some that the show was ending, yet I thought it was to be expected. Back when the two season deal with UPN was signed, both Joss and Marti said they weren't too positive it would continue after that.

 

If this is indeed the last season of Angel, then I'm alright with that (just as long as they finish everything out, of course).

All fans believes that Buffy ended because of Smg`s decision. But now, new information has come out...and Whedon perhaps may also end Angel.

 

Whedon seems to achieved that to some degree and is relieved that, thanks to renewal, no one will show up to the set of Angel and say "stop filming that now," but one day that phrase may well be spoken, and possibly by Whedon himself.

So, "Happy Birthday" was on today, and Cordy is now part-demon. That's just so weird, especially looking back and seeing how far she's come since Season one of Buffy (heck, even season one of Angel).

I did like Buffy Cordy, but she couldn't stay that way her whole life.

 

Cordy needed to have some sort of character development, so they had her become Hero Cordy.

 

It made sense she became that way, because of her hanging out with Angel all the time, a true champion and getting the visions which would change ANYONE.

 

I didn't like heel Cordy though, that didn't do it for me. Even though season 4 owns.

In other news, I watched a bit of that Buffy Season 6 eps. where she goes in and out of a mental instititution.... that episode sucks. I couldn't watch it all. I didn't like it when Ds9 did it, and it was actually done worse here.

She shouldn't, however, been in the last episode. Angel is its own show and does fine without Buffy. Angel's last episode should be about Angel's characters, not Buffy.

The thing that really bugged me about that ep was Buffy telling Will she actually was in an institute. What was that crap? Hello, Season Two! Granted, the episode was written by someone who had never written for them before (and never again, mind you), but you would think someone on the staff would have pointed out how ridiculous that was.
