I couldn't figure out that Penn date. I knew they said 200 years, but I wasn't sure if that was the concrete figure.

Anyone want to try and find an earthquake in Budapest, turn of the 19th century?

Though on that subject, does her curvyness really make up for the fact that she is a cold hearted, cruel, manipulative evil bitch?

It doesn't make up for it...it makes it even better. What can I say, I like evil chicks :D

I think I ay have to dust off my Lilah sig again

I like to add that the "Hell's Bells" commentary is THE WORST commentary ever. They give very very little insight on what is going on and are quiet half of the time. They make Jane Espenson look like Joss.

This is the one Easter Egg I could find on Season 6. More like I found it on DVDEasterEgg.com.

1. On disc 2, select "Once More With Feeling" and go into the Language Selection Menu. Once there, highlight (under subtitles) "English For the Hearing Impaired" and press the left or right button. This will highlight a hidden "B". Press ok (or enter) and you can see a featurette about the cast and crew signing for the "Once More With Feeling" soundtrack.

And I made a GIF for Wes wiping out the guns, but it is very, very, very tiny. I will make a bigger one tomorrow. (long load)

God, it's like reading the WB message boards...

Meh. How is Anyanka saying Wes is cute any different than RRR talking about how foxy Lilah is?

Wes added so much more to the show as he became darker. Back when he was happy Wes, he was a pretty nothing character. By the last season, his story with Illyria was the best thing going.

Old school Wes was important, besides being extremely funny he was the resident demonologist.

Ratings for Angel went up.

ANGEL (WB) - The "Buffy" spin-off closed its five-year run last week with all-time high viewership in men 12-34 (3.8/12) and men 18-34 (4.0/12) not to mention finished second in its time period in all male demographics and third in persons 12-34, females 12-34, adults 18-34, women 18-34, and female teens, according to a network press release. In addition, the broadcast hit season highs in persons 12-34 (3.5/10), adults 18-34 (3.8/10), women 18-34 (3.5/8), adults 18-49 (2.9/7), women 18-49 (2.9/6), and men 18-49 (2.9/8), despite airing against a one-hour episode of "American Idol" on FOX. Overall, said episode was also the most-watched installment of the series in persons 12-34, adults 18-34, and adults 18-49 since November 2000 and women 18-34 since May 2001.

Then again, this might be false seeing how they said it went against a one-hour episode of American Idol, when Angel went up against the OCrap.

I never really thought about this but I'm really quite disappointed that Lilah didn't make it into one of the last shows, she was such an important character. Another scene with Lindsey and Lilah would have been great to see.

I would have loved to see it, but how would they have written it in? A flashback, perhaps?

Hmm... would Lindsey still have a contract with W&H even though he's dead?

Perhaps an afterlife scene.

Maybe like in the Odyssey, when they show people walking to Hell. Lilah could be holding the door for Lindsey or something.

Oh please, my lustings over Lilah are sooooo much better than her's over Wes.

I mean, jesus...

Me:

I'm watching Season 1 Angel reruns and I have to say...

Kate is really fucking hot.

I dunno whether it's my tastes that have changed or they digitally remastered the show with Foxtravision, but gotdamn, when did Kate get so hot and where was the Lilah/Kate GonG action?!

Anyanka:

OMG Wes is SO cute!  I, like, OMG kiss his picture before I go to bed every night and OMG dream sweet dreams of us being married and OMG kissing and Andrew and Warren are also my bf's and OMG Wes is not as cute when he has stubble and guns and is cool and stuff and is much better when he's completely useless OMG OMG OMG.

I am not like that at all! I never said anything about wanting to marry him or whatever.

And it's true, he lost some cuteness when he became all brooding and angst ridden.

Plus he wasn't useless. He was a DEMONOLOGIST.

Anyanaka, I clearly quoted you there from this thread.

Demonologist Schemonologist, he wasn't an asskickingologist or a lilahdressinguplikefredfuckingologlist or a whippingoutdoublegunsandthenashotgunonthemotherfuckingBEASTologist.

They could have given Gunn guns if they wanted someone with guns. Why make Wes into a badass?

I still haven't really taken in the fact that Wes died in the finale. It just hasn't sunk in, I never think about it. It's going to suck when it finally hits me. Joss killed my favorites from each show in the finales. Why does he hate me?

I do like the story behind broody Wes. The end of season 3 is cool.

It's great cause they've been building Badass Wes from Season 2 when Angel went down with a case of the crazies and Wes got shot saving Gunn and had to be wheelchair bound. That allowed them to change him up a lil bit but not enough to really be noticed. Subtle changes in clothes and attitude and then when Fred showed up his character once again and then with the Connor thing and the Fred/Gunn thing and him getting all grizzled-up and glassesless... perfect changes. Much better IMO than the Willow change and the Cordy change. However, the Gunn change may rival it.

I don't know how anyone couldn't get it about Wes. He's the "Man with no name" [aka, Clint Eastwood spagetti western character] of the Whedonverse. Good guy who's tough as nails. Though, he would've made an awesome big bad. :)

Nah, Wes could have never been a big bad. He was always about doing the right thing, and he often didn't ask. He thought he was saving Connor, so he went ahead and did it.

You know the thread is dying when you're discussing who's cuter on the show.

Oh and why aren't we doing "Angel Lists" like we did "Buffy Lists"? If we do it...keep it in this thread because there have been a few extra Angel threads already lately.

Here I'll get us started:

Top 5 Characters (Good or Bad)

Top 5 Villains (Since Angel doesn't really have big bads)

Top 5 Episodes

Favorite Quotes

Top 5 Emotional Moments

You can add/change any of those if you want. I'm just throwing something out there.
