The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

Recommended Posts

I'm, for some odd reason, Connor.

You're Connor. What this says about you: You have deep-seated distrust of the people in your life and are afraid they're not really sincere. As a result, your uncertainty turns into anger and that's what you present to the world. You have very base instincts about things, but you're very sweet when you let someone in. When you're in love you tend to mark your territory and woe betide anyone who gets in your way. Try to let go of your anger, you're not a bad person and people know that. You can trust them.

Shrug.

I know, they gave "The Cautionary Tale..." a 9, which was like the 3rd highest of the season. They said "A Hole in the World" wasn't emotional enough. And other things I want to stab them for.

They gave Smile Time a 9.5 and HITW a 6.5 ... seriously, what sort of tards are over there? I mean, I support the use of the mentally handicapped in any form as they have a right to participate in society as much as the next abled-bodied person; they have hopes and dreams too; but I mean, 'cmon, this is ridiculous

That article was right about Lindsey, Lorne, Eve, and the W&H arc.

I find myself agreeing with the all of that. Lorne was criminally underused in season 5. Lindsey as the villian didn't make any sense, though it was good to see him again. And the whole Black Thorne thing was done to subtley.

It's all about your answers. I specifically answered mine in the pursuite of getting the answer to be Wesley. Is it honest or fair? No. But as the man once said- cheat to win.

I got Gunn :firing: which I guess fits.

You know, although every other character has been praised on this thread, one seems to be ignored: Angel. I thought this was DB's best work of the series, and his acting (Smiletime, the 2nd to last eps.) and directing were very good.

I got Angel.

You're Angel. What this says about you: You have an aversion to people, but you feel the need for closeness with a very tight-nit group of friends that are more family than anything. You can be rather obsessive about things, but you also have an extremely dorky side to you that not many people see. When in love, you manage to find a way to ruin your happiness, either by chance or your own design. Still, you've got to open up more and tell everyone how you feel.

I skimmed the article and then saw the rating for HITW. I decided not to read the article in full because this guy must smoke crack.

You're Dork!Wesley. From his job as a Watcher to his Rogue Demon Hunter days and all the way through Season One of Angel, Wes was a dork. What this says about you: You mean well, but you're clumsy and inept at your job. You're very intelligent, but you're uncomfortable in your own skin and aren't quite sure how to react to people. Still, there's a great person trapped inside of you. Time will bring it out.

Right then....

I watched the finale again last night and I have to say, Angel certainly did sign his name extremely sloppily on that Shanshu.

THEN he mentions how nice his handwriting is(and Conner calls him a girl) later.

HMMMMMMMMMM.

...

Of course he is later killed in a alleyway, but still, interesting.

I'm Angel, yay.

Television Without Pity gave AHitW a D rating, now I'm not someone who preaches it as one of the best ever but even I find that harsh. BBC Online also gave the episode a pretty negative review, it really seems like a love/hate episode.

You're Scruffy!Wesley. Starting with Loyalty and ending...well he's still scruffy and bitter. Wesley's pretty much alone right now. What this says about you: Oh dear, you're a bit jaded, aren't you? You're unhappy about the way your life has gone, but you deeply care about the people around you. Don't worry, things will get better, you just have to give it time. And isolating yourself isn't going to help.

I'm tortured by Faith, yay.

You're Tortured!Wesley. Being battered around at graduation to Faith's torture session, the explosion, getting shot and getting his throat slit, it's clear that Wes gets tortured often. What this says about you: Whether you're physically or emotionally scarred, your life sucks. You're always getting dumped on and everything seems to happen to you. But don't worry, things'll get better. Wounds heal and you'll be okay. Eventually.
