Guest Brian Report post Posted March 20, 2005 I love Gunn's heel turn. He's reasonable, but at the same time he's buying into the whole Wolfram and Hart deal. Does anyone else remember the first time he walked into Wolfram and Hart, as a dstraction, and look at him now. Spike and Angel coming out of the elevators together. Priceless. I love that they brought back the "Sorry, luv. Don't speak Chinese." from 'Fool for Love'. Andrew and Spike is so great. I love that Andrew tells Wes that they better hear slayer mythology from an expert. And the mention of Giles. It's an ode to what he was, a failed watcher, since he's eventually going to be a succesful slayer. I like how Spike understands, in some way, that what he did can never be undone, while Angel can't get over his past mistakes. This is pretty freaky compared to the norm. Spike seeing his hands was quite a sight. I love Angel and the double cross. The fact that Buffy doesn't trust him. That part at the end was awesome. One of the best little lines of the seaso. Ripper 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 I like how it was mentioned or eluded to about Wes being a watcher, THE watcher with one of the most embarassing reins in history (I would think getting blown up would rank higher....HA!!) and in the end, he was Illeriyas watcher. With the teaching her the ways of the world, how to use her powers, the sparing sessions, tending to her wounds after the Hamilton beat down....all watcher-riffic honestly. If you had talked to me in season 3 of buffy and told me that Wes was going to be my fav character in the Whedonverse, I would have laughed at you for thinking I would rank this comic relief at the top of the food chain. but here it is, when it is all said and done, Spike and Wes are top dogs. Hmph.
Guest Brian Report post Posted March 23, 2005 I love the way this opens. Angel totally fed up with being so close to evil but being unable to fight it. Gunn not wanting to leave, telling Angel they all got something out of it. Well, Cordy is what they assumed Angel got out of it. Cordy looks hot. Cordy mentions Connor. I love the slow burn on the memory-erase. Cordy mentions the devil and Izzy shows up. IRONY~! Spike rehabs with the video games. And Lindsay brings up the hand. Spike fighting with the game is awesome. The Doyle video. “Rape the memory of your friends who trust you.” Cordy almost says that she was in love with Angel. Which is important because that’s how she could pass the vision. And it also almost vindicates the way he felt, and how his feelings were hijacked the past season. Lindsay really has always hated Angel, always been jealous, especially of what he’s taken away (his hand and position he should have had with Wolfram and Hart). So Cordy wanted to apologize to Wes before she exited, but got caught off. Really pushing the fact that Angel keeps the burden of him knowing Cordy died. I like that scene of the guy checking out Cordy and then Spike vamping. Funny stuff. And I love how once Angel has something to fight for, he can take on Spike. And I love the reaction when Spike says his guy was named “Doyle”. I love Harmony going at it with the torture. And the extra hit. “I know my rights, and I want to see a lawyer.” The zombies are a nice throwback to “Habeas Corpses”. “C’mon gents, no need to hold back. We’re all dead here.” God. I missed Lindsay. And he gets to show off some power and magic. LINDSAY A little something I picked up in Nepal. ANGEL They sell that crap at the airport. They bring up the first episode with Angel kicking the vamp out the window. Nice bunch of throwbacks to remind everyone where things came from before taking them down the dark path again. Lindasy with the DANCE~! “I’m Angel.” That was balls. That was balls-stomping badass. Fred gives Wes the little look. She’s got the eyes for him.
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2005 so does the rest of the crew remember cordys return? or does only angel? cuz none of them mention it again after the episode?
Anya 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2005 They know. In Powerplay Angel says the last kiss gave him the vision and Wes knows what he is talking about. Also he mentions Cordy to Spike in A Hole In The World.
Guest Brian Report post Posted March 23, 2005 I think it's one of those things Angel kept to himself until he lost Fred, but it's never really said how. That's just the most logical thing for me, that as things started to fall apart. Of course, knowing that she kissed him and knowing that she died are two completely seperate things.
Anya 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2005 Well he at least told Spike. He mentions losing her to him and he doesn't react like he's surprised or anything. I'd think if he told Spike he would have told the others, especially Wes. Cordelia wanted him to explain what happened to her. Why wouldn't he have?
Guest Brian Report post Posted March 24, 2005 It doesn't mean he told the others. It just means he was desperate. Desperate not to lose another, like Cordy and Doyle before him. Where do you get that Cordy wanted him to explain things?
Anya 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2005 Cordelia: You can say good-bye to the gang for me, explain everything once you understand. In "You're Welcome"...

Anya 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2005 Nobody else ever brings it up or seems to care. It's just weird. Feels like bad writing. I wonder if the scoobies know. That'd be some bad news for Xander. Then again, the last time one of his exgirlfriends died nobody cared. Yeah, I'm still bitter.
Guest Brian Report post Posted March 24, 2005 Still doesn't mean he said a thing. This is Angel we're talking about. He already took one hit for the team and buried it deep, he would do it everytime. There's nothing in "Power Play" that would indicate he said so.
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2005 Angel brings up losing her at least once (albiet to Spike). Anybody know how much time passed between You're Welcome and Why We Fight?
Guest Brian Report post Posted March 24, 2005 I'm guessing not much, because it opens with them talking about Eve. He brought it up with Spike to show just how desperate he was. How much he wantec to save Fred.
Anya 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2005 He had already told Spike when he brings it up in AHITW. When he does bring it up, Spike doesn't say anything. If Cordy being dead was something he hadn't told Spike you'd think Spike would wonder what he meant. Instead he seems to understand. If he told Spike why would he not tell the group? And we know Wes at least knows about the kiss part of that. And we know Cordy wanted him to tell the others. So no, it never says but it's pretty well implied in all these bits. Everything points to everyone knowing. I don't see anything pointing to him NOT having had told them.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2005 I think it is pretty understood that they know Cordy was dead. The question is do they remember her little visit in Your Welcome. I think they do, mostly because of Wes knowing that when Angel said "it all started with a kiss" he knew it was from Cordy. If the COrdy visit never happened in their heads and she just never woke up from the coma, that is a pretty wild conclusion to jump to.
Guest Brian Report post Posted March 24, 2005 Those guys were so focused on Fred at that point, they weren't going to stray away. Angel said it in desperation, not because Cordy had died, but because Cordy had been lost in a similar way, as a shell toa higher being. Angel wasn't about to lose another person, especially in the same way. And Spike understood his desperation, there was nothing to question. He tells them about the kiss for the first time, and the vision, in "Power Play". Remember, Wes was around for when Cordy first got hit so he understands the events surrounding Angel's vision. Cordy wanting Angel to tell, and Angel burying it inside are two different things.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2005 He tells them about the kiss for the first time, and the vision, in "Power Play". Remember, Wes was around for when Cordy first got hit so he understands the events surrounding Angel's vision. Well, yeah, he first told them about the Kiss then, but they had to know that she popped back in that one time on that one day for Wes to not say "When did you kiss Cordy?" I don't think I get what you are really saying there. But still, they all HAD to know she was at least dead. I am sure that wouldn't have suprised anyone. Plus all the events of that day still were in place. They all knew about Lindsey and eve's plan. They all knew about the lil symbols protecting eve. They maintained every bit of knowledge about that day. And I guess you could argue they maintained every bit of knowledge about Jasmine without the whole "who was her daddy" thing, but something like that was not even slightly suggested in this case. Cordy said explain it to them in the "They are going to be asking where the fuck is cordy' question when you get there, so tell them the real deal.
Guest Brian Report post Posted March 24, 2005 I'm still assuming Angel never told them she died. They all remembered it, that was the point. The former would show why they weren't grieving, and why it was never brought up. Of course, the other way of looking at it is up to that point, they had already assumed she was basically dead, so they were past the grieving.

Anya 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2005 I hope the sitcom gets picked up. And OMG!!!! "BREAKING NEWS: I've just received some news from a reliable source. It looks like the producers of LOST are interested in bringing EMMA CAULFIELD on the island. Although nothing is set in stone yet, it's something J.J Abrams and the producers are pursuing. Lest we not forget that David Fury is one of those producers." If this is true, I will be so happy! This will make me watch Lost.

Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2005 If this is true, I will watch everyone she's in. This will be cool only if she was playing Anya. Maybe it is her, an alien clone of her kidnapped her and sent her to a desert island in the buffy finale. Now she wakes up out of a coma and notices shes on an island with people. Im telling you , this would be gold. Jeez now Im sounding crazy.
