Ok, I know it airs in Dec (better than not at all which was originally planned) but at that Price it looks - on paper - to be definitely worth it.

I look forward to seeing Hamanaka and Namamura fight again (esp Nakamura). Newton vs. Renzo should be an awesome match - as are all Newton matches ;)

Assuming they mean Shinsuke Nakamura, here's my early predictions:

Carlos Newton def. Renzo Gracie

(Renzo has struggle quite a bit in the past couple of years, and although Newton has had his share of losses as well, he's balanced it out with some wins)

Ryan Gracie def. Kazuhiro Hamanaka

(Although he has a chance for an upset due to his wrestling, Hamanaka's stand-up looked pitiful against Antonio "Windmill Slaps of Fury" Schembri. Ryan may not be the best stand-up guy around, but his agressiveness standing and skill on the ground should be enough to overcome the inexperienced Hamanaka)

Rodrigo Gracie def. Daiju Takase

(Takase may have finally found the skills everyone's said he's had, but Rodrigo, with awesome grappling & improving striking will probably prove too much)

Daniel Gracie def. Shinsuke Nakamura

( Although Nakamura put up a game fight, we're still not even a year removed from his 2nd round armbar loss to Semoes (SP?). With having to split time between his pro wrestling and MMA training, I don't think he's improved enough to take this one)

Dokonjonosuke Mishima def. Ralph Gracie

( Despite a recent loss to Takanori Gomi, Mishima has been a conisistent Top 10 LW for the past year. Ralph looked awesome in his heyday at Extreme Fighting, but is nearly seven years removed from MMA competition, in which time the sport has changed immensly. Ralph's ring rust & Mishima's aggressive style will be the deciding factors here)

From Pridefc.com:

Mirko Filipovic vs X (I'm assuming this just means ??? rather than a fighter named X... though a fighter named X would be cool)

Mauricio (Shogun) Rua vs. Akira Shoji

Sergei Kharitonov vs. Jason Nobunaga

Alexandre Emelianenko vs. Assuerio Silva

Renzo Gracie vs. Carlos Newton

Ralph Gracie vs. Dokonjonosuke Mishima

Daniel Gracie vs. Kazuhiro Nakamura

Rodrigo Gracie vs. Daiju Takase

Ryan Gracie vs. Kazuhiro Hamanaka

I wondered what happened to Assuerio, but here you go. I saw him domintate at Pride 17, and never heard from him again. I think there's a funny story behind it, as Hume was invited to watch the match and explain how a Pride judge scores a fight, and than the match ended in 17 seconds.

For those wondering, Alexandre is Fedor's brother. I've also heard rumours of him being tied into the Russian Mafia.

Cro Cop wanted to fight and said he doesn't need that much time to train. Some are calling him arrogant, but if the rumours are true and X turns out to be Kevin Randleman, he may be in over his head.

That's what I'm getting at the Sherdog MB. Randleman is only ten pounts lighter, and as one can tell by just LOOKING at them, he is definitely the stronger one. I see Cro Cop getting tossed around ala Fedor and Heath. Heath is heavier, but Fedor has that short compact build that you can use to just manhandle your opponent.

With all that being said though, if Cro Cop makes quick work of Randleman, I will mark the fuck out. He's getting a little cocky though, as he just wanted to fight with little to no preparation. He said he wouldn't need a long time to fight, even though he's focusing on Fedor. I think this is like a test, but he seems to be underestimating his opponent way too much. Unless he's taking some sort of secret wrestling juice, his ground game is worlds apart from either Fedor or Randleman.

The fact that Alexandre might be in the mafia scares the shit out of me. I don't know why. I'm sure Fedor tried to help his little bro out, show him the ropes and such. That's just fucked up.

A lil more info on the Masked Fighter Dos Caras Jr.

Name: Dos Caras Jr.

Nicknames: Two Faces Jr.

Birth date: May 25, 1977 - San Luis Potosí

Record: 3 - 2 - 0

Association : AAA

Height: 6'5 1/2"/197 cm

Weight: 211 lbs/96 kg

Debut: August 11, 2000 - Shimonoseki, Japan

Style: Pro Wrestling

Signature moves: Plancha, Side suplex

Titles: none

Country: Mexico

* Made his pro-wrestling debut on October 11, 2000, teaming with his father Dos Caras to defeat El Azteca and Chiba, in an event promoted by the Japanese independent promotion KAGEKI PRO WRESTLING. This card was held in Shimonoseki and reports said that the junior looked very good for a rookie.

* Before turning pro, Caras Jr. was a member of the Mexican national team in Greco-Roman wrestling for five years, and he placed third at the World Junior Championships in 1997 (held in Czech Republic), won the Central-American games three times and also won a medal at the Pan-Am games. He was looking forward to compete in the Sydney 2000 Olympics, but due to lack of support, politics and government problems Mexico could not send any representatives to the Olympic wrestling competition so he turned pro instead.

* Made his AAA debut on 9/4 when he ran-in during a match involving his father, that was getting beat up by Texano, Pirata Morgan and Espectro Jr., but his first actual match was on September 29, 2000, in AAA's "Verano de Escándalo" supershow. He teamed with Alebrije, Sangre Chicana and La Parka Jr. to beat "Los Consagrados" (Pirata Morgan, Espectro Jr., El Texano and El Cobarde).

* During his first months he has feuded with the veteran stable of "Los Consagrados" and on January 21, 2001, he failed (teaming with his father) to conquer Texano and Pirata Morgan's National Tag Team Titles.

* There's no doubt that Dos Caras Jr. is one of the real stars of the future. He's got size, name value, charisma and it looks like he's going to develop into an excellent wrestler.
