Homer said something along to Marge along the lines of

"how could the one thing in my life that i've ever been sure about be wrong"

it was reflecting on thier relationship and i think it was a flashback episode but I'm not sure. I don't think it was "The way we was" however.

wasn't that the episode wher Homer's looking for his soul mate?

Okay, it was from "The Way We Was". It was were Homer ran out of the prom crying and Marge consoled him outside, yet she was still there with Artie. He said something about them being destined to be together or something.

However, I still can't find the exact quote. Anyone owning that episode want to help me out? (Season 2)

I just watched that episode! It's a really old one, where Marge goes to prom with Artie. I think it's along the lines of,

"Whenever I do something, part of me says yes and part of me says no. How could the one thing in my life that I've ever been sure about be wrong?" Pretty profound for teenage Homer if you ask me.

I love Marge's response:

"I don't know....but it is!"

*Marge gets up and leaves*

Yeah, this was all SNPP had for that:

While Artie and Marge dance, Homer leaves and cries in the hallway.

Marge asks him why he's putting himself through this, and he explains

that he thought that they were destined to be together.  Afterwards...

Come on anyone, exact quote?

Homer is sitting on the steps crying.

Marge: Homer?

Homer: What?

Marge: Why are you doing this? Why can't you accept that I'm here with someone else?

Homer: Because I'm sure we were meant to be together. Usually when I have a thought, there's a lot of other thoughts in there. Something says yes, something says no. But this time there's only yes. How could the only thing I've ever been sure about in my life be wrong?

Marge: I don't know...but it is.
