Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 I've never come in contact with this stuff, but I've always had a morbid fascination with it. A stomach packed full of unmentionables and oatmeal. I'd definitely try it, given the chance. I'd wager it's awful, but it would be good nostalgia.
PLAGIARISM! Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 It does intrigue me. As long as the oatmeal and spices were more noticable than the texture of a sheep's innards, I'd be up for it.
Guest BAR Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 I live in the UK so it's as common to me as McDonalds is in the U.S. Well, not really. I've never tried to though. Just the thought of it is quite disturbing.
razazteca Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 No but I tried the Mexican equal of it. A sauage that has every damn unmentionable stuffed into it. I did not like it.
Guest El Satanico Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 I doubt I'd ever try it or even consider trying it. Other than fish and chips, I don't think I'd eat any English food. I've heard much of it is quite bad.
ulfistgut Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 It just tastes of oatmeal and meat pretty much. The ones I have had have been nicely spiced, and it goes well with mustard. Thing is, if you don't have it in skin (often people will split it and eat the insides only) you wouldn't know what it is. So it's not too bad to eat really
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 I had a feeling that someone named ulfistgut had eaten this. I definitely want to try it now. Peeled, first, then with the membrane.
PLAGIARISM! Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Well, if I wasn't fucking starving before.... Breakfast time. (it's 1:40pm here)
Guest Alki316 Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 Well i am actually Scottish and considering the ingredients that are in Haggis it really is quite tasty espicially with mashed potatoes.
teke184 Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 Had it when I was in Scotland. Tasted just like meatloaf, which makes me wonder if it was made tamer for the tourists where I got it or if this is how schools are making their Mystery Meat these days.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted September 30, 2003 Report Posted September 30, 2003 Does it smell like one would figure it would smell?
