bob_barron 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 OlympicHeroRVD- The WWE must not be screwing over their customers if people like you can't get two tix the minute they go on sale. Sorry- I'm an asshole
Guest Hayabusa Moleman Report post Posted September 26, 2003 Cause ticketmaster is a shitty company, but has a monopoly so nothing can be done about it?
Guest RollingSambos Report post Posted September 26, 2003 I'm still wondering if Madison Square Garden just sold out, or if it only sold out a pre-released # of tickets.
NYU 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 I'm sure it was a pre-released #, because we have tomorrow now, as all the ads said. But I just don't get this fucking presale. Something suspicious went on today. Son of a bitch.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 It's nothing suspicous. 80,000 people were trying for not a lot of seats. It's luck I guess
Guest RollingSambos Report post Posted September 26, 2003 A limited number of tickets in all prices have been reserved for Friday’s pre-sale, and additional tickets in all price ranges will also be available to the General Public on Saturday morning. This means that you will have TWO opportunities to get your tickets.
Guest Memphis Report post Posted September 26, 2003 What the fuck ? Aren't they selling fucking 2 TICKETS AT A TIME ?! They just keep telling me no seats are available....IN THE WHOLE ARENA ?! How is this possible ?! Aren't they selling 2 fucking seats together ?! This is the funniest thing I've ever seen....this week. Gold. Continue your hissy fit. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Guest Showstoppa Icon Report post Posted September 26, 2003 is it even worth trying anymore or should i just test my luck again tomorrow?
caboose 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 I was there the second they went on sale and came away with nothing, but Jimmy with his high speed connection got in there fast and NOW WE ARE GOING TO WRESTLEMANIA XX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry if I gloat, but it is that great. Now to sort flights and accomadation...
NYU 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 There was no 80,000 people trying for presale tickets today. a) On the grand scale of things, not many fans even knew about this internet presale b) Not many fans could be online, waiting for the second 9:00 strikes c) This was basically a mostly New York wrestling fan base trying for these tickets, although obviously, they were some other fans trying as well. Was no 80,000 people trying. But I honestly feel they didn't even put out a 1000 tickets today. Perhaps even less than 500. It boggles my mind how I could have not gotten anything. Guest RollingSambos Report post Posted September 26, 2003 Usually if people are going to pass on their tickets, they are freed up within the first half hour. At this point, it looks like a legit sellout. Then again, you never know...Ticketmaster is weird. Tomorrow is your best shot, but once again the high-speed Internet users and Ticketmaster-loophole-knowers are going to own your ass. If you go with a ticket broker, you're gonna pay more but at least you have a shot and a wide selection of seats.
The Dames 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 I feel horrible. I spent all night up because I couldn't sleep and I hit refresh on the browser billions of times in the morning until it came up... I was supposed to buy tickets for myself, Nik Johnson and my best friend Keith and I had to settle for just one ticket. I'm very happy that I'm going, but I let my friends down Dames
Guest RollingSambos Report post Posted September 26, 2003 Just try again tomorrow Dames and sell your single ticket on eBay.
NYU 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 I see tomorrow being even more impossible. Now, everyone KNOWS tickets are going on sale. There's no password to be given. We have simultaneous people buying at the MSG Box Office, Ticketmaster outlets, on the phone, and online - and only about 20,000 tickets. I just don't see it working out for me - again. The Dames 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 My ticket happens to be in Section 14...I don't know if I want to sell that. Dames
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 Me thinks the best time for scalping is in January. The hype will be high but the card will only be rumored. Then again, Angle/Lesnar was planned out on TV as early as December... I'm just going with the automatic notion that I'm selling these unless I can pull together the money for a JetBlue flight. Even then, I'm going to be sleeping on the plane and just visiting the city long enough to see Mania and go back to the airport and take another redeye flight if possible. I wonder how far JFK is from where I need to go?

It had to be only about 500 tickets going on sale today (But even that seems a little high to me). How could so many people, ready to buy at 9:00 exactly, come away empty or with less than what they wanted ? I feel bad for the people that couldn't make it at 9, and decided to try at 10 instead, thinking "Hell, the presale ends at 9 tonight" Ticketmaster really screwed over a lot of people today. A lot. The Dames 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 I'm going to try again tomorrow for the remaining two tickets... I doubt that I'll get them though. The tickets have already hit Ebay with their ridiculous prices. Dames
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted September 26, 2003 My only beef with the WWE at this point is at the Garden House shows they said SIGN UP FOR PASSWORD as a reward for all of you loyally going to our shows. Then they post it on the website. I understand if there was 60,000 seats, but 20,000 seats was going to sell out no problem. They could have legitimately rewarded people like you and me and created goodwill with the longtime fans. Instead, they put the password everywhere and let all the scalpers get tix. niko

I got tickets for Seattle last year at something like 2pm, and got very good seats. given, this isnt safeco and is in a larger market, but it still doesnt make sense, to be sold out in 2 mins
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 Like I said, this was a big joke. It had to be only about 500 tickets going on sale today (But even that seems a little high to me). I think it's the size of the building. XIX had tickets on the presale going on into the afternoon. I kept checking back in to see what the best ticket at the time was all day. Although being smarks we kind of generally look at this with a "boy, they're going to overhype and underdeliver on this one, huh?" attitude, this is probably enough of a milestone to interest those who were wrestling fans from the Rock N Wrestling days to the HHH Goes Over Everybody days. At least, it wouldn't shock me if that were so. And it's not exactly like the arena has a hard time filling up even on crap shows.
The Dames 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 The first few times I tried, I couldn't find shit...and the stupid word in a box was unreadable. Ticketmaster BLOWS. Dames
Guest Hayabusa Moleman Report post Posted September 26, 2003 Well, I remember when I used to go to House Shows in Cleveland, the box office would open at intermission to start sales for the next event (usually a RAW or Smackdown) which was nice because you got rewarded for coming to the show and you didn't have to pay Ticketmaster's outrageous ticket fees. When they stopped doing that (Ticketmaster made it worth their while, maybe?) I didn't see any reason to go to House Shows that were getting shittier and shittier each time. Bad long-term business move in my opinion.
The Dames 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 That's it...I've seen it all. People are selling the PASSWORD on Ebay. Idiots. Dames

Guest nikowwf Report post Posted September 26, 2003 If i get extra tix tommorrow, ill put them up for sale at cost on the board. im sure you all feel crappy right now like i do. niko
Guest RollingSambos Report post Posted September 26, 2003 Ticketmaster isn't fair at all. Half the time you can't read the word in the box, and you lose your spot. If they're gonna make you type out a word, at least make it crystal-clear.
