SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2003 The only funny part of the entire Katie Vick storyline was Triple H interviewing the doll. The rest of it sucked and came pretty close to driving me away from wrestling (God bless Smackdown and TNA). Triple H used to have good matches all the time. Since coming back from the injury, he's had a few good ones here and there that were reminders of why he was so good before (I think of his Smackdown match with Jericho, the one that Jericho won). Besides that, I still somewhat enjoy his matches. It's hard to say why, but I think it stems from all the good memories I have of him from my past as an innocent mark. Dandy 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2003 Biggest thing in-ring wise that has changed for Triple H is his speed and selling. These have turned his matches from exciting, due to his selling of TAKA's offense and stuff like that, to him becoming more methodicaland and going with a power offense. His character is good, and I think his interviews are the same or better. However, if he doesn't drop 25 lbs to get back to his 2000 Rumble shape, he might as well get ready to be a cripple the rest of his life.
Guest TheGame2705 Report post Posted September 28, 2003 About the ironic statement, I thought it was ironic that he was bitching about bitching about bitching. For the above poster, that's true. Relieving some of his mass will definitely help his mobility. His upper body looked huge when he came back in 2002. His speed has somewhat changed but his selling is still the same, maybe even a little better. He collapsed when he left the ring after beating Booker and fell flat on his face and he's sold the "OMG"ness when facing Goldberg.

Guest BDC Report post Posted September 28, 2003 The thing is, it looked like some people came within an ace of beating Trips pre-injury. It looked like Taka almost had him. He acted piss scared of Cactus Jack. It's not just in-ring selling, it's selling of the character. Scott Steiner was marketed as a muscle-bound monster when he showed up. When Trips came out to confront and laughed, I thought to myself "well, that's dead." Why doesn't Trips impress me? Well, to paraphrase a Foleyism: "If I treat you like a piece of crap and win, so what? I beat a piece of crap. If I treat you like a piece of crap and lose, I look even worse." Trips hasn't treated opponents as credible since he came back.
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted September 29, 2003 The necrophilia angle was not offensive, it was humerous and entertaining, however it buried Kane, so it was a bad thing to do. the ninja demands that you die now!!!!!
