NYU 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2003 another note, what's with seemingly all the field players save for Nomah and Damon having shaved heads and odd beard conforminations... is this to play off the blue collar team image? They all shaved their heads to prove they were a unified team, I think. Problem is, some of those guys really shouldn't be having bald heads.

Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 17, 2003 I thought all of the boston players save for a select few shaved their heads sometime during the Oakland series.. Walker had a wicked long hair with a curl for that series but shortened to a basic white boy crew cut. Damon has SWEET hair and he should never shave it... CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2003 I feel bad for Roger right there in a way. I mean that look on his face was just...disheartening. I always likeed Roger even if I was bitter when he first left Boston and went to NY eventually. His eyes just shot open...looked like he was shaking...I really feel sorry for the guy. Because he realizes his season, his career is over, and he has no one to blame but himself. If he decides he wants to come back, I hope the Yanks tell him to fuck off. yeah...he's only one of the greatest pitchers of all time, tell him to fuck off is a great thing. Being great doesn't mean he should be brought back. He ditched out on both Boston and Toronto when he didn't want to be there anymore, why should the Yanks have any loyalty to him? Boston ran Clemens out...He WANTED to stay and he got traded to the Yankees...he never LEFT or ditched them. He did too. He signed as a free agent with Toronto after saying he wanted to go to either a contender or a Texas team (neither of which described Toronto even remotely at that point in time), then left after deciding he was too good for Toronto, forcing a trade due to an illegal clause in his contract that Gord "I'm A Moron" Ash slipped in. He's a mercenary, and should be treated as such. (Late coming in -- modem problems -- but it needed to be said.)

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2003 The only way Pedro could make the HoF now is if he helps the Sox win a World Series by pitching a no hitter.

Damon's power comes from the mullet, or so I'm told. As for Nomar.... I have no idea. His hair was always pretty short, so meh.

Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted October 17, 2003 Giambi's 2nd Home Run Torre looks very stupid now for batting him 7th. Why? He's hit two homeruns today. If he was in the 3rd slot, he would have been feeling too much pressure. In the 7th slot, he doesn't have to worry about HAVINg to produce.
