MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 The NY FOX news is going to show what Red Sox fans are trying to do to break the curse..
Guest Choken One Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Are they going to Wear Yankee uniforms and learn the reality of being a part of a WINNER?
CanadianChris Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Let's see this again. I thought it hit the pole.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 I think that was fair! Todd Walker HR! 3-0 Red Sox
Downhome Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 I just now turned the game on. Good lord. "if you're just tuning in now, where the hell have you been?" or "if you're just tuning in now, shame on you.." I lost track of time, or something, watching my Futurama set.
Guest Choken One Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Which do you take? The Yankee/Sox Commentators or The Fla/Chi commentators?
Guest Bobby Cox is God Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 But I was talking about in the past, the Cubs pitchers were better this year and I don't think there is any argument there. But if someone were to say that Prior/Wood were even comparable to Maddux/Glavine right now, it would be dumb to say. 3-0 Yankees on a Walker HR.
iliketurtles Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 That would of hit the pole even if that dumbass didn't touch it.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Truth be told, regardless of stats, I think the Marlins have the more lethal offense compared to the Braves. Just watching the Marlins over the past couple of months, they seem to come through with the big hits almost any time it's needed, aside from tonight. They've had runners on every inning but don't have a run to show for it. But alas, Prior seems to be able to work his way out of jams most of the time.
CanadianChris Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Which do you take? The Yankee/Sox Commentators or The Fla/Chi commentators? Is death an option? Leiter > Boone, so I guess the NL game.

You missed the start of playoff baseball, something magical and only once a year...to watch a over rated cartoon show that you can watch at any time? Shame.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 I dont see where the fan even got close to it but..I find it funny none the less.
tpww7 Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Gotta love the announcers saying he may of deflected it with a coat though.
Guest Choken One Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Which do you take? The Yankee/Sox Commentators or The Fla/Chi commentators? Is death an option? Leiter > Boone, so I guess the NL game. Boone is just too fucking weird and how can he and Aaron be related? Bret's a fucking dwarf and Aaron is like 6'5.
CanadianChris Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 But if someone were to say that Prior/Wood were even comparable to Maddux/Glavine right now, it would be dumb to say. Well, of course...but in 10 years, I think people will be compaing them to Drysdale and Koufax.
Guest Choken One Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Gotta love the announcers saying he may of deflected it with a coat though. C.C said "He had a Cell Phone and that might have deflected it"... Guess Close Captioners can't figure out Fox' Commentators insanity...
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Where the hell was the Home Plate umpire back in 1996 to overule the Jeffrey Meier debacle? Back then they said the Right Field Umpire had the only say..
Guest Choken One Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 They changed the ruling shortly after that dd they not?
CanadianChris Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 YEAH!!!! Manny jacks another one, 4-0 Sox.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Manny hits one out 4-0 Red Sox Im actually loving this..all vs Mussina..
Guest Smues Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Tim McCarver can just die. "A FAN TOUCHED IT SEE THERE'S A CHANGE IN DIRECTION OF THE BALL!!!" Too bad the change was because it bounced off the poll.
Guest Choken One Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 well was that Grandstanding? WAS IT? I GOTTA KNOW FOX!
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 They changed the ruling shortly after that dd they not? I don't know but I guess they did.
CanadianChris Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 How has Tim McCarver been employed so long? He's had a color job since 1991 with CBS.
Guest Choken One Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Forgive me since I got the mute on and stuff...whose the other Bos/Ny commentator with McCarver and Boone?
Guest Bobby Cox is God Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 QUOTE (CanadianChris @ Oct 8 2003, 9:59 PM) Well, of course...but in 10 years, I think people will be compaing them to Drysdale and Koufax. If you think they should be compared to a good RH and a very overrated lefty, more power to you.
